RB Leipzig have until 8th February to tell UEFA if their home game vs Liverpool can be played (due to German travel ban into the country).

If they can't host or find a neutral ground by then - Liverpool will be given a 3-0 win for the 1st leg!

My humble opinion, that will doubtless be lambasted by all, is that all international tournaments at both club and national level should be cancelled until next season when more of the population are vaccinated. Mutant variations travelling internationally are the biggest threat in the race to get the world vaccinated atm. International football is unnecessary, imo.

Just seen Bednareks red card incident from last night.
Nobody seems to be questioning this decision?
Martial just flops, its not even a pen.

Thought Brighton looked solid against Spurs. No walkover at all.

IMo its really about speed of passing.

I consistently say that I can't understand why they are where they are. I think they are well capable of getting a 1-0 win. Equally capable of 0-0

However if we want to be fair to us as well we have seen v west ham how we have issues but the minute we pick up the pace and stop playing in front of sides we have let get set we cause massive problems.

IMO to hurt Brighton we need to be more direct in running with the ball and moving it quickly not taking 3 touches and pass sideways until they are set. It doesn't mean hoofing it at salah, it just means get them facing their own goal.

I said at the time it’s a dive and yellow for martial. He trails his leg back to make any contact (and the contact if there even is any is minimal). He’s half way down before defender gets close to him.

doesn remake much diff to score line but 1 match ban for saints defender will hurt them.

Latest on this is Southampton have requested that Mike Dean does not officiate their upcoming games (or 4th official last night Lee Mason)
and they will appeal the red given to Bednarek. Dean even checked on the screen before giving the decision ffs

No unbiased observer could possibly think we're favoured by VAR.
But then, how many unbiased observers are there?

He was the VAR for the ridiculous non penalty v Villa on Saturday as well.

God help the **** when fans are back next season if the request isn't granted.

In the end southampton have a bigger question to answer than just how useless mike dean is.

that early red card, did hasselhoff not make any real change there unitl 70th minute or what? He has to shore it up at some point but he's let 9-0 happen twice.

Its one way or no way by the look of things. I think he's just ended any chance of a big club going for him in the future.

first time ok, he got a great reaction to it and changed things and really looked good at times. BUT last night, he's let his side basically not even park the bus with 10 men back and kick lumps out of utd etc.

9-0 is a absolutely rotten score line for any team no matter how bad.

It is, because when teams get to 5-0 up they usually stop bothering and just faff about waiting to see if any more go in.
It'll be interesting to see if Saints can come back from this as well as they did last time.
I doubt it would prevent others going in for Hasenhoffeloffal (sp) in the future though - not when you look at some of the Herberts that still manage to get a job.

I still wouldn't swap him for the vast majority of the managers in league. He's done an incredible job with his hands tied more than the vast majority of others. 5 perm signings in 5 windows says it all.

Think we'll be fine once over this injury crisis. Just really hope we can beat Wolves next week, would love United in the cup.

Must be embarsassing for those teams who have lost to us too <whistle>

Sean Dyche looks like the bouncer that always said "No trainers"

This is going to be another high score.
