If we get a CB its between two - us and City. The rest are playing for 3rd place, with Uniturd taking a temporary lead in that quest
City are revving up their engine. We’d better do the same, starting with our away form. Southampton ideal place for us to turn things round and extend our lead at the top.
Chelsea would have been better off if they had only bought a couple of players in the summer as this team is unbalanced .
I can’t see Man United lasting the pace till the end of the season. Like last season, they will slow down in the third part. We have to stop dropping points against middling and lower ranked sides.
Frank Lampard’s job is under serious threat and Chelsea have already begun making alternative plans. (the athletic)
City had extra rest. Does that come into this? They looked sharp. I can’t help but feeling cynical about their postpones game. On the other hand Chelsea were sh1t
City will win the title, I've said so enough at this point. I'm more concerned with top 4. We need to step up to the mark now. I do think its a bit unfair to ask thiago to start this game as I've seen in a few places
I've never been convinced by the tiredness argument. I think long-term fatigue can be a factor as a season wears on, but in the short term players should be able to handle two games a week. They need to maintain match fitness, and not enough game-time can be just as detrimental as too much. Getting the balance is part of the art of sports science (if that's not a contradiction in terms ).
If he’s fit enough to last 60 minutes plus, he should start. No question. If he isn’t, then he shouldn’t. Klopp tends not to take risks with players returning from injury so we will see just how ready he is in a few hours.
