Jurgen Klopp message to Sakho https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...ws/liverpool-mamadou-sakho-ban-klopp-19235038
they need to have it as feet, this sort of thing is utterly ridiculous nonsense, they are incompetent Well onside but offside for pointing
I’ve just seen the disallowed Leeds goal. VAR these days heavily favours defenders.....right now, I’d prefer to just forget about the lines and just use it for the clear and obvious offsides or If the must keep the lines, it would be so much easier if it were feet and also favour the strikers....which is what we all want. That or just bin it altogether.
I was opposed to VAR in principle from the beginning. Now that it's being shown to be a ****show I'm still being told it's not the system's fault but the fault of its users. How can anyone look at that picture and not see the massive flaws in that system, regardless of who is interpreting it? The thickness of the line - the red one is similar to the pitch marker lines so must be at least 4 inches. How can that be good enough for the accuracy we're led to believe we're getting? How do we know the exact nanosecond the ball leaves the passing player's foot? What margin of error exists there? How far would a player move within that time? Is that the best angle they could get? It's nowhere near accurate enough, the arse of the player beyond Bamford is obscured and he could easily be further back, given his posture. All of this on top of the subjectivity of decision-making, the fact that the spirit of the game is further undermined, it's slowed down and the excitement is sucked out of the incidents that make football what it is. It could never work without changing the nature of the game forever, and I'm baffled how anyone ever thought it could.
Sahko got a ****load of millions for that, you can bet WADA got fookin reamed. Cos they admitted guilt, the reaming was that bad, bet they tried settle too, without the public apology 10s of millions imo
Leicester awarded their 7th penalty of the season, did not look like one to me. But what do I know when VAR says penalty when the ball is hammered at you from 4 feet away
The ball hit his arm while he was still looking at the player who crossed it, it came in that fast from that close That should make it clear to VAR it was not a penalty, the arm was not in an unnatural position either
Deffo penalty this time. Just the 8 pens to date for Leicester then. Saved initially, but VAR checking keeper on line. VAR says saved
Another shocking decision by the ref for handball. Nothing to do with VAR. The ref went pitch side and looked at it and gave it. Need to sort this **** out. 1, you shouldn’t be allowed to look at handballs or red card tackles in slow motion. Totally distorts the actual challenge. 2, how can anyone expect a natural position to be arms down when you’re running. Look at the attacking player. When he crosses it and it hits the defenders arm, his own arm is up above his shoulder. Clearly that just shows a natural position to be in on the football field in that moment of time so what’s unnatural in one, might be perfectly reasonable in another.
It seems refs, who were not players, think players should run around with their arms by their sides please log in to view this image
Watkins seems to have an eye for goal. Villa seem to have got their buys right in the summer. Safety looks very easy for them this season, may even push for a EL place.
