Said this a thousand times - whatever happens from now on is exceptional and unusual, no matter where this goes. But at least it's the same for everyone: we were asked to play nine games in 26 days back in '89, when all the teams we faced were better rested and prepared.

Pep isn’t a fraud... I know he isn’t at Liverpool so to you that means he is ****, but regardless of money spent Pep creates quality teams that win **** loads of trophies.

It is only a level playing field for those games, not level across the season due to which teams still have to play which other teams home and away. It’s obvious it creates a disadvantage to certain teams over the course of the season.

Not to mention that with the season resuming, form and fitness will have totally changed so it’ll be like an entirely different mini pre-season tournament but used to decide the fate of teams. I can see why those battling relegation might not be happy with it. (I can also see why they’d look for any reasoning not to get relegated too though!)

Different conversations bro. I do think the season should just be scrapped at this point.

But in this thread I was discussing the reasoning behind relegation teams not thinking neutral venues are a fair option.
