Wasn't me. I felt we could cope without him. Not ideal. However, we did all miss him!

Liverpool is now a destination for world class talent
Liverpool fans have been treated to a number of high level and successful signings over the past 12-18 months. Gone are the days of prioritizing net spend and gambling on mid-level talent.
Liverpool is currently a huge attraction for the world’s top talent. This is evidenced by the ability to sign the likes of Naby Keita, Fabinho, Mo Salah, as well as progressing with players such as Alisson and Nabil Fekir.

Merseyside now represents close to the complete package for players. Enabling stars to play at the highest level of competition with a realistic chance of glory, on top of working with a top manager.

A wee bit ahead of ourselves this.

    Weather. Nope.
    Lifestyle. not really.
Wages. Good but not top drawer.
Chance of glory. Middling. Better than it was not nothing won.
    Top manager. Check.

Trump's homeland security are quick to separate mothers and children when deporting illegal immigrants but turn a blind eye to a convicted fraudster with a suspended prison sentence hanging over his head entering their country.

Salford City are causing mayhem in the lower leagues and Scottish football, they're doing a Chelsea/City on a smaller scale but nonetheless paying higher fees and wages than all around them, basically buying success/promotion.

Are "the class of 92" just as much shysters as Abramovich and the Sheikh?

Modern football. They aren't the first and wont be the last.

Seem to remember Crawely being bankrolled by a multi-millionaire and having foreign players when in the conference.

Think it says more about the state of Scottish football, that a player from the SPL prefers to move so far down the English pyramid.

Yeah, couldn't really give a flying one about the money they're pumping in I just dislike the free publicity and the hand in glove treatment they get from the national broadcaster.
They're a mini Man U with all the trimmings.

you have to ask yourself.... just precisely what is their aim?

    seriously... what is it?

it'll go so far and they will have thrown their own wealth away into the diarrhoea flow that is football wages and fees.

why bother? Its a club of a certain level. if you REALLY want to help the grass roots or give back to the community keep the club pitched at the community at those lower levels where young lads can go and get a bit of coaching and pass their time away from bad influences etc.

All they are doing is creating an "elite" club for ego.

"Salford co-owner Neville tweeted: "There used to be an etiquette in football where you wouldn't talk about another club's business."

Man U's very own licence fee paid BBC correspondent Simon Stone has since arriving in the US written man utd friendly crap, Zlatan on Pogba, Rooney on Utd's title chances, lots off sympathy for Sanchez being refused a visa.
As soon as Liverpool arrive the manc **** starts **** stirring about Klopp being a hypocrite over his comments about the price the mancs paid for Pogba last season.<laugh>

"Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp "doesn't care" about allegations of hypocrisy over his transfer spending."

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44913678

Stone never questions the over the top fees Utd(and City)pay for players yet here he is questioning all of Klopp's in the last 12 months.:emoticon-0100-smile
