    Following assessment today (Friday), we can confirm that Harry Kane suffered a tear in his left hamstring during our New Year's Day fixture against Southampton.

    Our medical staff will continue to review the injury with treatment ongoing.

    Is Laporte really THAT good a defender that all their woes can be blamed on his injury? Keep hearing how the impact would be like us losing VVD through injury

    City have spent an absolute fortune on defenders, many are Pep's signings too. Maybe if had faith in them and gave them confidence, they'd be capable of putting in a good shift in - like even Lovren has for us. He just seems have his favourites and then shun the rest, criticizing them or dropping them entirely.

    Fact is, I don't think Laporte is even that good. Yes he's a good CB, but in the same level as VvD, not a chance. I think its more that the rest of Citeh's defenders aren't very good and they're FB's are wannabe wingers who can't defend. CB's should be what they're looking at in the summer, but Pep has a history of neglecting the CB area and just shoving DM's into that position.

    The other thing they miss is leadership, Kompany's influence was immense. Silva is a great player, but not Cpt material. Same with Aguero, they're best option is Fernandinho and he's almost finished as well.
