In an ideal world yes wed have a keeper that is 22 and ready top class and can be our keeper for next 10+ years. However how many are there about? de Gea was said by many to not be good enough when joining United and went through 1 or 2 seasons of being an ok keeper with potential before getting to where he was now. Courtois was loaned out for 3 years into a side withess pressure to help develop... Other than them and neuer, how many other top class young keepers are out there playing for top teams?
I agree. I was referring to an ideal world. Unfortunately there aren't many talents on their level right now.
Only idiots said he wasn't good enough. It was clear he was going to become a top keeper prior to joining Man Utd and he just needed a little time to adjust to the physicality of the English game.
