Swordster as far as I'm aware the transfer window doesn't close for another 15 days so plenty of time yet. My bigger concern is that Swiss Tony is a complete bullshitter and we'll have been pinning our hopes on the wrong man. The saving grace though is I can't see Team Mittal standing back and watching their investment falter. As for the squad well again I think we only need a couple of players in all honesty and if this deal falls through I reckon there will be loans in and if it goes through some purchases. Its all to play for young Swords. I reckon we've still got 37 games left
Reality check Mittal bought his original stake in the club for £200k (according to Wiki). This is literally loose change for him, I do not think it was ever seen as a 'business' investment - more of a hobby and vanity publicity vehicle. So no fear about 'investment faltering' - the only question is does he want the hassle of owning a club which will definitely cost him money to run, but may make him feel good if the fans get behind him.
Good point , great businessmen or w**kers as I like to call them simply hate being associated with Failure it ruins their egos If QPR were just a toy then they want it to work or have some upgrade potential . This thread however is the most interesting post about the team on the pitch that has been posted it shows how things are more difficult to get players in regardless of the money that may or may not be there After the 31st we are what we are until Jan
Great article well written. Agree with alot of what has been said previously, that this season will be tough, and NW did inherit players he probably would not have wanted. Whilst blood, sweat and tears may not be enough to keep us up (and there is a pint of the black suff with Swords riding on this), I recon that NW will change things around once new investment arrives at the club. Lets try to keep positive.....one defeat doesn't mean we are doomed....doomed I tell ya, just think of last year when Blackpool won thier first game at Wigan 4-0 and only just went down on last game of season.
After last night game Arsenal could be in need of a Left back and we have Borrowdale, they also need a replacement for Nasri so could also take Cook and Rowlands all on season long loans, they would still have all the money from the sales of Fabregas, Clichy and Nasri and could swoop in the January transfer window . What are your thoughts about that then? Arsenal to agree to pay their wages and the players to agree terms and we have a result.
