Chelsea have proved this season that playing in Europe adversely affects their league form. I'd imagine playing in the EL will be even worse, unless there's some serious investment.

Splinters in butt at the moment. Shakey was unlucky with the start we had but we were 18th so out he went and Puel certainly pulled us up the table. From about a dozen games out we never got a result but we did play a lot of young players. When you have Iheanacho, Ndidi, Gray, Chilwell, Choudhary and Barnes with not one over 21 then throw in some old heads and next year we could be challenging top 6 easily. I'm looking forward to the World Cup as a distraction and then ripping into next season. I think Puel needs to stay and at least be given a full window and a decent amount of games to establish his style and side.

What signings do you feel you need to achieve that?

    Only in the PL.
In most other domestic leagues, the respective FA will re-arrange fixtures to help clubs that have had mid week slogs to Eastern European waste lands.
Not in England though, where the SKY TV schedule reigns supreme. Cannot possibly move a match out of its prime time tv slot......

    2 further points are that:
    1. Most other countries don't have 2 domestic cup competitions
    2. The PL is far more competitive than most other leagues. Very little cannon fodder such as you'll find in Spain

We need a CM to replace Dembele more than an ACM. I'm not overwhelmed with our link to Martial. What's he done that Sonny boy doesn't do? Only positive is he could replace Son when he's having a downer patch, which he does at least twice a season.

Martial is good at great potential but I don't see what he brings that we don't already have. Plus we got Moura who looks like a bit of a baller and will come back better after a pre season with Poch, now that he staying lol.

I think you guys have a very good team and need to be thinking more ambitious with any signings you make. Martial would be a typical Spurs (and Liverpool) type signing; young, technical player that's got plenty of potential.

Yeah I've been saying this on the Spurs board since the season finished. We need to sign someone who is going straight into the first team to help us move up a notch just like VVD managed for Pool. No point in signing potential...that's no good for what stage we are at.

And that Spurs' blow and almost certain opportunity to win a trophy with Flopcettino in the saddle.
