I am interested lat. It's a good point that I wasn't really thinking about travelling - I sorted of approximated that turning home wins into draws is worse than turning away draws into defeats. Don't do all that maths just because I asked though.
I thought the early games were easyish to get to. Everyone is still on their summer holidays (or something).
I'll have a look over the next couple of days and let you know mate, worst case it'll be early next week. I always prefer to put numbers to stuff where possible (although I accept its not always easily the case).
Sept-Nov will be a challenge. Looks like it will be Arsenal (A), Europe, Swansea (H), West Ham (A), Europe, Leicester (A), intl break, Burnley (H), Europe, Man City (A), Chelsea (H), Europe, Hull (A), intl break, Liverpool (H), Everton (H), Europe. Five European fixtures and eight of the eleven best not-Saints teams from last year.
Just noticed that the FA cup round dates are also finally on the FA cup website for anyone interested: http://www.thefa.com/thefacup/more/fa-cup-round-dates I've added them to my mega fixtures, predictor and stats spreadsheet too - https://www.dropbox.com/s/7gwqynvpmelzl0d/Fixtures_16-17.xlsx?dl=0 and if we were to (fingers crossed) get far in all competitions, February & March would be crazy in terms of fixture congestion with those Europa fixtures along side.
See the United game is moved to a Friday night!! How the **** are saints meant to get up there in time after work?! What a ****ing joke of a decision !!
Not sure f that's a joke, but tickets travel & food soon adds up without having to take a day of work because of a crazy tv scheduled fixture. Total piss take.
Emm, happy enough with this as I should have a better chance of getting a ticket...Bad for our league in Ireland, thought they weren't gonna show the big teams like ourselves and United on Friday evenings. Gonna have an effect on already diminishing crowds
I have no sympathy for anyone here. We knew there were going to be Friday games last year. Sky have paid a fortune for PL rights - they have every right to schedule this game for Friday night. If you can't arrange one day off or even half a day off tough ****.
Yes. And my profession is irrelevant. Unless you're a copper or doctor or something that requires a lot of flexibility it won't be difficult to book an afternoon off work when there's over a months notice.
Added to that, some may be self employed, in which case it could mean a day or half a days less pay. May be an issue with child care. Anything. Seriously lacking in tact or appreciation of other people's situations.
Even if you can't make the United away game, there's still 18 more to pick from. Not the end of the world.
