I'm having a go at Cheltenham, today. 3.40 - Wicked Willy E/W 1.20 - Magic Dancer 1.55 - Black Tulip 3.05 - My Hometown ^^^^^^ 3 x Doubles and 1 x Treble
All horse racing across the UK has been cancelled until next Wednesday "at the earliest" due to an outbreak of equine flu.
Yeah, I forgot about this thread I'm close to a lad now that works in Karen McLintocks stable and I put a cracking tip up that he give me on our board, last week. He's give me one for the flat season. ROSE TINTED SPIRIT - He looks fantastic after coming back from his holidays and he has filled out too. I'll get the nod when it's time to have a few pennies on it
Anybody having a bet today? @Dan Starkey 2 @Tobes @Archers Road I had this come in last night so I've got a little bit free money to play with. Just the one for me today. AZZURI. Skeltons horse who has returned from having a wind op. Never matched it's potential but these ops can be the making of some horses so I'll take a chance on that. £20 win.
Haven’t really looked yet, and as I’m on lates I’ll miss the racing this afternoon. I’ll probably have a few quid on Clan Des Obeaux in the Betfair Bowl - didn’t get the trip at Cheltenham but this will be more up his street, if the GC hasn’t taken too much out of him. Will definitely have a look at Azzuri though - big fan of the Skeltons, they did me a couple of favours at Cheltenham. Good luck.
It's just something I fancy. It's been backed from 10's into 9's since I made that post. I'm putting my cash on now. I get BOG anyways.
All the bookies will have offers, not sure what the B365 one was? They’re about my favourite bookmaker, but I can’t get a bet on with them (restricted to max £30 win). Bf Sportsbook pay 6 places in the GN. Quite s few probably will
At the moment, It's top 5. If you don't back ante-post then it may be worth waiting until the day to place your bets. They may well up the places. If not shop about. You'll probably find somebody paying 7 places somewhere. Vintage clouds looks like a nailed on EW banker. I don't see anybody beating Tiger Roll. Crazy price for the national but justified, imo. I like Joe Farrell and that will be my big national bet.
For the last few years they have done your money back on E/W part of your bet, up to max refund of £125. So I used to pick 10 horses and do £10 e/w on them for £200 and then the one I fancied £25 e/w for a total of £250 down. As soon as you hit place bet the £125 e/w part of the bet would be refunded. They were paying top 6 and I think the worst outcome I've had was 2 placing for about a £5er profit. One year I had 1st, 2nd, 4th,5th and 6th for good money. Don't think I've ever lost on the offer, wouldn't surprise me if they've stopped doing it now as I can't see how they could be making much off of it, especially as it wasn't available to new customers.
