exactly Thai some are thinking with their feet and not their brains. At this time you have to say we are relegation candidates. we need a manager and not just a manager we need to get the back room sorted, we need 4-6 new players because if we think we can play like last season and get away with it then they are deluded. there is so much to do and we hear we could have a manager in place by the end of next week...MAYBE....not good enough that will put us as one of the favorites to go down.....the fixture list is out soon and we have not done a thing except speculate and while we are speculating others are getting the job done.....congratulations to norwich who lost their manager in awful circumstances but knew they had to get a manager in first before any holidaying jaunties....

Tell ya what mate, it all looks a little spooky with what has happened in the last two weeks. It is as though PL had already made a secret agreement with Villa, our CEO knew about this secret and made his own secret agreement with Birmingham City before PL's departure. It has all happened so very quickly, which is pretty unusual. <laugh>

I agree that as things stand today, I would be trouble by the Swans chances this coming season but thankfully there is plenty of time to try and sort out a new boss and a few players. All being well we will both prove the bookies, pundits and other football fans willing us to go down, wrong again <ok>

Good job you have a new manager, for us it's taking a little while longer as we are looking for someone very specific for the role.

As you can see Superswan has it on his head that we must sort this now, he wants no consideration and demands immediate action now! Its of course our chairman's fault because he should be at his desk sorting out the CVs from jobcentreplus and monster.co.uk and so on, he has about a thousand to go through.

We may have someone in place by next July, if not August ! When we sort out that he has the CVs for new players to go through, because in Swansea we do things differently not only on the field but how we recruit players. They need to apply to us to get a job through the job centre, it causes a lot of stress as we have a lot of people trying to get a job.

Finally we will start the season with everything in place, of course if it isn't it's our chairman's fault as there is nobody else at the club that can think, everything that goes wrong is his fault, everything that goes right its the board doing that, that also transfers to the manager when we get one!

That really sums up Superswan's delusions for you, in his fickleness he forgets that there is 10 weeks to go until the start of the season, he forgets that its only been a week since Brendan has gone, and he forgets that euro 2012 is happening and hardly any business will be done until after it finishes.

By the way we will have a new manager within the next week.

I can understand his negativity in a way tbh as I am normally pretty much the same. Until I know what is actually happening I tend to err on the side of caution and perhaps expect the worst case scenario. Doesn't make me any less of a loyal supporter of the club or team though. I was genuinely worried we would take a cheap option and try to promote from within (as has happened all too often in the past). If Superswan feels that way he is perfectly entitled to and I would not discredit him for his opinion, no matter how far removed it may be from the general consensus <ok> Best to remember we are not all clones when it comes to being football supporters <laugh>

Up to point he is right though, you do need to sort out a new manager as soon as possible to allow him more time to work with the team and get new players. If for some reason you do not attract the sort of manager you want in the next 3-4 weeks then you can start to panic but hopefully that will not be the case <ok>

It's not his opinion that is the problem, it's just that he turns every thread no matter what the discussion to the vitriol about our chairman. Not dismissing the opinion it's just when you see it 50-60 times it does grate a bit!

It's not being negative it's being vindictive , and it's uncalled for as our chairman has got us up to the premier league on a shoestring, and maintained us in the division for at least another year. As I said if there anything good coming out of the club it's the board's doing as huw is just a figurehead, anything not fitting superswan's vision it's all huw's fault, this was something said the other day by someone on here, and thinking about it it's true.
