QPR away next. Cant see spuds winning that. So much for their easy run in I guess No wonder modric wanted to leave. Bet he cant wait to get out of that dive. Another club harry spends loads and doesnt achieve anything before leaving with the club being left in financial trouble imo.
We have more money though and hence can buy better quality refs than you can. Our one helped us beat Wigan, yours, despite denying Norwich two penalties with the first being a sending off, failed to even get you a point at home to Norwich.
I thought that was funny coming from a Spud with Norwich being denied 2 penalty shouts. Anyways, your two were definately worse. For the life of me i can't understand how you are hanging on. You have been awful most season. Oh wait, Barcelona is coming along.....
In fairness, Spurs have received some of the worst refereeing decisions this season. Especially against Man City and Stoke which lead to them losing against both of those teams. English officiating is just bad all around.
True but the ref FINALLY decided to sent Balotelli off after the millionth red card challenge against us. Just imagine if he correctly red carded Balotelli against Spurs? They would have lost and Spurs would have won and things might have been different. In cricket you have elite umpires, the same should be done with football refs. Promote the best to elite, and the rest should be send down to the conference...
I did like Wenger's comment about Mario "he's flirted with orange a few times". Putting it lightly... this weekend has to have been one of the worst I've seen in a long time for officiating decisions. Shocking calls all round.
got to agree, every weekend there seems to be some absolute stinkers of decisions somewhere in the Premiership you'd hope it would even out, but I suspect they don't - i'd be interested to see someone catalogue all the incorrect / big controvertial decisions over a season and graph them out against finishing places.
Impossible to do. Like nobody can say what woyuld of happened when lampard should of been sent off vs wolves. It seems like the usual suspects, man utd and chelsea, have got all the decisions again this year.
We had 2 offside goals given against us against Man Utd and 3 wrong penalty calls (2 definitely). I don't think any other set of fans can say that has happened to their team.
When you got refs like Chris Foy officiating it's no wonder standards have dropped to a new all time low
Spurs did get unlucky in a few games but they also got very lucky in games that they still managed to lose. Like vs us with the bale dive and vs norwich with the penalties. Despite all the luck spuds still managed to bottle it and throw it all away. I know they have an easy end to the year but at the moment everybody will be licking their lips at facing spuds. QPR will know that they can beat spuds at their place. That really is a crucial game for them. If spuds lose that then I think its curtains for them as far as catching us. Things could change for us but I doubt it. As long as wenger doesnt decide to drop rosicky for ramsey or something we should be fine. Djjorrou can hopefully do ok the next few games. Easy games for him to play...
How did it all go wrong for Spurs? It's not like they've had any major injury worries, they've had the bulk of their squad available. Could it be, could it be about the bottle? I wonder........
They have had some injuries, and the depth of their squad beyond their first team isn't very good. I think it may be down to setting their sights too high (matching the Mancuians) and when they drifted further from them it knocked their confidence, resulting in a further slide.
Very good day for us today by the way. If spuds had won maybe a point wouldnt of been great. But now a point looks awesome
