When was the last time a team got 7 points from 2 games or 10 from 3?

Its not actually a far fetched prediction at all.

Tottenham have less experience in gaining a Champions league place and are more likley to slip up should they hit a 'bad patch' of form.
They have a very good team and probably derserve champions league football but could very easily slip up should the pressure get too much for the players. If Spurs suffer another loss to united it may spark a small crisis of confidence.

Also this IS Tottenham we are talking about - it's in the clubs DNA to slip up and remain a 'cup team'.

Slightly odd thinking on here - Spurs have lost to Utd, City (twice), Arsenal and Stoke so far this season. Arsenal have lost to Utd (twice), City, Swansea, Blackburn, Liverpool, Spurs and Fulham and yet Spurs are the ones who are going to have 'a crisis of confidence'. You've averaged only 0.1 points per game more than us since Redknapp started and about 0.2 points per game less than us over the last full year. The most likely outcome is Spurs finishing 10 points clear.

Good luck scraping 3 points in your next 3 games
We could be in third by then
I can't see you beating United
    A draw vs Everton
    A loss to Chavski

If we both play like we did on Sunday you might be right. Depends whether you think that match or the previous 25 represents a better estimate of the true abilities of the teams

Spuds have been totally dire for a long time. I predicted they would implode vs us and I was right. I got laughed at by the spud fans but my predictions came true. Spuds have been poor for a while and only the media love for parker, bale and harry has blinded people.

i'd also like to point out that i went against the grain by saying that arsenals first 11 is at least the equal of spurs, and that i believe arsenal will make top 4 whilst spurs will do well to. i dont buy the argument that they are nailed on as 3rd. a 7 point gap with 12 games remaining is a good cushion, but not enough to be certain of being top 4.

I admit I knid of fell for all the spuds hype. But my eyes are now wide open. We have a far better squad and, imo, a better first team. Although that doesnt mean we are good. Because we aren't. But wenger is a million miles better than redknapp who is average.

But obviously spuds SHOULD come 3rd. After their next 3 they have the easiest run of games imaginable.

All I am saying is that I think their confidence could get hit and the redknapp thing may start to effect them near the end of the year. Add in the fact they arent great and that they are spuds and I think its safe to say that my prediction is not so stupid. I am fairly confident actually.

I am see them spiralling out of control if they lose their next 3. Then the pressure will be on and they will of lost all momenteum. They have been dire whenever the pressure has been ramped up on them this year (for 50 yearsd actually)

It's a rubbish prediction because we haven't got Chelsea next! Add a loss to stoke first then maybe <laugh>

I think that stoke game is big for you. if you lose 5 in a row then it could be a disaster for you <yikes>

I predicting this at the start of the Season. (and more recently in the other thread.)

    Arsenal will finish above Tottenham.
-However I think both will get into the Champions League places.

Spuds have a talented squad but no real experience at the top of the table.
When the going gets tough they dont have the required mentality.

PleaseNotPoll and Totsfan ... still want to "ridicule" my maths <laugh>

10 point gap .. no, 7 point gap .... no, 4 point gap. Now its a 4 point gap and we are yet to play, fingers crossed we win our next game and it will be a 1 point gap.

10 points, 3 games ..... will you still be giving it the begun if the gap becomes 1 point ? I very much doubt it .. but you are welcome to quibble over the 1 point gap if you like <ok>
