Coleman has to go, of course. But, unless he's goat an ounce of common sense, he won't resign. Problem is, they probably wouldn't accept his resignation. I'm actually feeling really angry with Gary Speed. I know, I shouldn't. BUt I do.
well this is what i wrote on the swansea equivalent thread. i didnt think that performance was down to the manager, i pin the blame solely on the players. they shirked the challenge today. i actually felt sorry for coleman during that performance and he will be giving those players a serious dressing down. the captain should come out and say 'we as a team have let down the manager and fans who made the trip here today' and not leave their manager to get hung out to dry. i dont think now is the time for knee jerk reactions like 'sack the manager' especially if your in cloud cuckoo land talking about elite managers and individuals like bergkamp and benitez.
I do think we should be rid of Coleman but I'm not sure who we'd bring in so really confused at the mo
I will be honest but at the start of this campaign I thought that 2 things would happen 1. Who ever replaced Gary speed would have a tough task as they were always going to be compared if they done well poor or indifferent. But most importantly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2. The players would want to finish what Gary speed had started by trying their best to qualify for the World Cup as a mark of respect for a manager friend and person they claim to have respected and loved. Well I must say that whilst Coleman has had a poor start once those players cross the white line it is up to them and only they can be blamed for a performance like that. Yes you can blame a manager for the wrong tactics or player selection or even motivation but only the players can be blamed for forgetting what we had started under Gary and forgetting the fact that they should have been putting in the effort and passion in memory of the late Gaffer!!!! Overpaid pricks!! Sorry I would have tried harder might have lost 15-0 but I would have showed more passion!!! On a brighter note I think I to am bottom of a league I wonder if someone will give me 50 odd K a week for that !!
Oh well rant over back to our more popular big brother Sheep and the Cardiff prediction league. Will see if we can get the league standings up for the Wales results so far if we can.
what the fk have the english got 2shout about mr white>>>>>us welsh know our place and thats a fact we are a small nation with fk all investment so we do the best we can with very little monies. the fact is this team will take some beatings but stick by them and give them some support for the next game>>>>>.im fkd off with moners harping off about performances and they cant even be arsed 2 get off the fking sofa. cymru am byth.....whatever the result
We have to turn this around with a convincing performance and win against Scotland and maybe try and nick a point against Croatia. Sometimes getting a stuffing can knock sense into a team, so we can only hope that's the case here. I agree completely with ccfct0p, not all of the blame should be placed on Coleman's head.
I watched quite a bit of the game despite getting increasingly despondant as the goals racked up. The guy with the most passion for me was Blake. The only one that really got stuck in. We made a lot of elementary mistakes but what galled me was the lack of effort to make up for those mistakes. On too many occassions when we lost the ball I saw Church and Edwards (in the first half) walking about staring at their feet. No effort to chase back. Having been ill, Allen looked a yard off the pace, Ramsey pulled out of too many 50-50s (still got that injury at the back of his mind?) and in trying to do too much, Bale lost the ball too often, usually because he had no 'out' ball to a team mate. Very poor. Not a backward step, more like 3 or 4. As you say, it can't all be laid at Coleman's door but you have to look to him for the tactics and the motivation. Serbia had scored 1 goal in their previous 5 or 6 games. They looked far more hungry and had a much higher tempo than our guys.
Perhaps the players dont want to play for Coleman, or he is misunderstood ! personally i wasnt over enamoured with his appointment, but until things change we all have to give our support to Wales, whatever may come. Roll on Scotland as they are the quint essential 'Plucky Losers'.
I totally forgot there were more bloody useless Internationals this week! Goes to show how out of touch I am over here sometimes I would have gone for a 3-0 win to Serbia but the actual scoreline suggests the problems with the Welsh National side are much worse than perhaps most thought. Really not good enough. Having said that, Northern Ireland are every bit as bad, could only manage a draw at home to Luxembourg - now that IS bad!
well, i and others foresaw this happening. for me, i only started worrying when symons and hartson were brought in. contrast this to when we had speed when the best staff were brought in like verheijen, for all his outspokenness he was fantastic at what he did. see this thread: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/157326-Damning-Assessment-of-Wales-Future-By-Raymond-Verheijen
Looks like us and the Jocks battling for the wooden spoon in the group. Will it be spot the crowd on October 11th? If so, such a pity as that could have been a great night.
wont be as pathetic as the northern ireland vs wales match in the home nations cup in 2011.... wasnt it something like 200, yes, two hundred, in an 80,000 capacity stadium
