@SIDDAS Must have a nosebleed![]()
Grr because you listed the fixtures before updating the table, I hadnt realised that I had already made my predictions for that week. Thus when I checked to see if I had posted I only went back to the table and seeing no post I made my predictions. Obviously I had originally made predictions when you posted the 6 games and unfortunately these were over ridden, which given that I originally went for Scum 3 - 2 Burnley is a darn shame then I demand that my original predictions should count, and that my own ineptitude should be ignored![]()
I did spot your extra submission. Your first attempt would've bagged you 13 points![]()
lol I know, why do you think I'm not happy![]()
I was surprised to see your 2nd submission, but not as surprised as I was with the deviation from the 1st.
Well even with statistics, it's football so I have to allow for a random element in the results. The problem is the first 8 fixtures have a slightly higher random reliance, hence the wildly difference in predictions.
The problem is my data model is based upon results taking into account difference in league positions and difference in points, then selecting the score from over 10,000 previous results that fits that criteria.
The problem is at the start of the season those criteria are not as relevant, hence randomness plays a bigger part than I like.
In addition, I have only just started collecting data regarding finances and transfers in & out for each club, so its difficult to try and build a model with limited data.
All in all, anyone just picking a result at random probably has a better chance than myself but it keeps me off the streets![]()
Uh, sorry for the delay. Fell asleep.![]()
