Based on what I've seen in pre-season I'd start with : .........................Cech........................... Bellerin..Sokratis..Mustafi..Monreal Guendouzi......Torreira.........Ramsey Ozil.............Aubameyang...Mkhitaryan
Yeah I would go with a similar lineup probably... ---------------------Leno--------------------- Bellerin---Sokratis---Mustafi---Monreal -----------Torreira----Guendouzi---------- --Ramsey--------Ozil---------Mkhitarian-- -----------------Aubameyang---------------- Cech vs Leno is hard to call. Xhaka vs Guendouzi is interesting.
I'm hoping Cech isn't just going to be binned as I think he's still got a lot to offer. And Leno looks a good prospect, but I wouldn't throw him in straight at the deep end in the prem just yet.
Worth noting that the goals we have conceded thus far in preseason have come in similar ways (a cross and a corner). We do lack some organization from corners and crosses and we've also given away 2 penalties. I'm hoping that when Torreira comes in, we'll have more of a midfield shield going on but, we look disjointed thus far.
Having said this, you still have not seen Monreal and Torreira in action yet I think we will see Maitland Niles instead of monreal.
Torreira starting against Lazio this evening. Was expecting us a field a stronger team than this. Leno Lichsteiner Chambers Holding Maitland Niles Nelson Xhaka Torreira Iwobi Lacazette Nketiah
Emery is crazy. Seems everygame we are using a different formation. 442 today - lacks a bit of creativity IMO. Torreira and Xhaka have been ok but not looked as dynamic as Guendouzi. Lichsteiner looks quality!
Little worried by us playing a 442 again. Dont think it has a place in the modern game. We are lucky not to be loosing
Don't forget the match is on Arsenal Player for those that are registered. https://player.arsenal.com/matches/first
Just back from work, good to see us 1-0 up. Just seen the goal Looking forward to seeing some of Torreira in the second half.
That's Emery's preferred formation. Guendouzi looks so natural on the ball. He is going to be some player
This team is clearly a work in progress. So many rough edges to be sanded down. Going to be a while before we look like a cohesive unit.
