I just said the same thing. He's not a creative midfielder and he's not defensive enough. He literally does nothing well - he's just mediocre at everything.
He's not a guaranteed starter for sure. But I have never seen him pick a decent pass, go past a man, track back, or defend well in the air. What exactly does he do?

Hasn't been a great showing. Think the mentality has been one of disinterest but we still needed to show something. I'm dismissing it as a one off, but we need to do better than this against City in 10 days time.
Thought we played quite well in that 2nd half without really finding any final ball. We kept the ball well and looked for openings. It has to be said that Chelsea were well organised and closed us down well.
Won 6-5 on penos. Nice improvement from the last game. Means little in the overall scheme of things but I am glad we pulled it back.
What I like about todays game is that we started poorly and the manager made tactical changes to address our weaknesses... and they worked
