Should be a good game, but Dortmund don't kick off their season for another couple of weeks and with us kicking off next week and already nursing a few injuries, can't see a very strong team being risked.

Should be good seeing Lambert up against another good team this time at home though. Hopefully he can net at the Kop and get a bit of confidence.

Rodgers probably wants the strongest possible team out there. He obviously won't risk people like Sturridge if they are carrying injuries but the team will be a rough idea of what the line up will be against Southampton in a week.
 
Why the **** have all or games been in America? The seasons starts next week, we've not seen the strongest team yet and they've spent over a month in a different time zone meaning their body clocks will be ****ed up come next weekend! Great preparation that <doh>

Technically all of our games haven't been in America, as we play Dortmund tomorrow at Anfield <ok>
 
Yep, I've f**ked up there. Thought the kickoff tomorrow was a late one rather than midday. Still think our preparations been **** though

Be interesting to see the team. I'd be worried about risking injuries to anymore players just before the start of the season.

Can you imagine if Coutinho/Sterling got injured to go with Sturridge/Markovic/Lallana as our attacking options!

Those are the ones who've been working with Rodgers in practice sessions, supposedly, so wouldn't be a surprise if that was the XI against Dortmund for a run out prior to the opening game

Sturridge is still injured isn't he? Or at leat recovering so can't se him being risked.

Wouldn't mind something like that. Give a couple of new guys their first taste of football with us while testing out a new young midfield 3 and giving the most important members of the squad a rest before next weeks game (Sturridge/Sterling).
 
Apart from ****ing John Glenson. Enrique is on the bench and he's starting. I just can't understand BR's thinking. Even in a friendly. Aside from that, it's our strongest team without Lallana.
