This is why I'd have liked to have seen the so-called strongest eleven a few times rather than this 'give everyone a chance' approach.

I can see the reasoning but I don't think I'd have taken the option. I can't see him challenging for a first team spot, I think he will be back-up player and/or plan.

Had we not been in the final on Monday then I think we would have.

With only 1 days rest between the games, we were never going to play the same players in both games. As this means less than Mondays game (final againt a rival) no surprise that the reserves are playing in this.

You'll see a totally different 11 come Monday <ok>

Appreciate that but I couldn't give a **** about this competition or the rivalry in a friendly, what I care about is being ready for Southampton. Still, two games left so if we play something that reassembles a starting eleven then I'll be happy. I thought there was only one more friendly to go until I checked too.
