Ace pens by Can and hendo. Has Studge ever scored a pen? Almost as bad as his derby abortion.

Agreed. Also, new signings to come as well. Henderson could be a future captain. Great performance from him: work rate (as ever), pressing, passing, his goal, and a nerveless penalty to cap it off. <ok>

Take the win but phew did we need to add Sterling's pace! Those shouting for Ibe earlier - don't be daft City's defence would have eaten him alive.
 
Its well late, but was worth it......Preseason games dont come much better than that. Game really took off in that second half
 
Well satisfied, we never gave up and kept fighting during the 90+2 and the penalty shootout win was the icing on the New York donut. &#55356;&#57193;

What? :biggrin: ****ing lurch! The fastest he and gerrard moved was to get off the pitch when subbed!

Useless and lazy player without his bum-buddy Fernandinho to baby sit him in the middle.

Henderson and Sterling will be huge for us this season. Coates maybe has shown enough to maintain Rodgers interest and see how he does. Johnson (Captain <yikes>) was awful again. Coutinho looked good too I thought.

He positioned himself well in defence and looked calm and collected with the ball at the back. Some of the best CBs have been on the slow side....Not saying he is a starter, but he has improved no end imo

Alright then. Think I'll cry if we play that back four in a real game though. A nod for Sakho though, as I thought the defence looked twice as good when he came on. Robinson was hosed just as much as Enrique, I'm afraid. Kelly was dire, but still better than Johnson.
 
Well, I enjoyed that game- but I've just read through the last few pages and it seems that not too many others did.

I was happy with the way we played 2nd half i.e. 433 not diamond

The idea of losing to a couple of scruffy as **** goals when Hart was having a worldie was sickening though
