Coates and Toure. We're going to get absolutely smashed :emoticon-0184-tmi:

Will be a good test to see of Coates can handle the Premiership this year though.

Think of it as an exercise to test if the fringe players are up to the task or not.

I don't get why Brendan is still playing Kelly at RB, he's a centre back and with Toure being well past it Kelly could do with some time in that position.

Maybe he's trying to see if he can do a better job than Johnson?

Disappointed there's no Marko even on the bench. Starting with the 4-4-2 to test Lambert as a strike partner for Sturridge?

Crowd building up but have to say there is a lot of red shirts. Plenty of sky blue ones too but safe to say we'll be outnumbered on this occasion. Fantastic setting here in The Bronx - keep sending your thoughts in via twitter using #cityontour and we'll post the best ones...

I'm sure you have it already from our official MCFC Twitter feed but here is the starting XI once again: Caballero, Clichy, Kolarov, Boyata, Nastasic, Fernando, Navas, Zuculini, Milner, Jovetic, Dzeko - subs still to be confirmed

Good strong attacking line up from City so give our defence a good test.

Just what you want in pre-season. Better to play a league rival with some fringe players, see how they cope than go play a team and beat them 7-0 and learn **** all about anyone.

Thing with City is their 2nd 11 would prob get to 4 <laugh>

'The Boys in Blue' - I knew it would come back to me eventually! National anthem about to be played so I'll be standing up now

I was wrong - it's our old the 1970s theme - City! - the one we used to run out to at Maine Road all those years ago...

Playing You'll Never Walk Alone at present - I'm guessing it'll be Blue Moon next...

Both teams are out now - the Blues were roundly booed onto the pitch! Won't bother the lads, though. So Edin Dzeko and James Milner have done enough in training to earn a starting berth, while David Silva, Yaya Toure and Joe Hart are likely to take a place on the bench. We are still waiting for news on Samir Nasri who was back in full training yesterday and may also be on the bench. It's a beautiful evening here in New York City, temperature is around the 70 mark

Got good support out there, lets gets winning sme stuff again before glory hunting and following £ity takes hold in America to the younger gen<whistle>

I'm really surprised Reina hasn't had a game. He only played 1 WC game, went out at the same time as England yet all the England players are back and playing now.

Can only mean we're still trying to get rid surely?

City go out first to boos...

Liverpool hold back and go out to cheers.

Nice to know still popular ahead of the big money teams.

Pitc is bloody tiny. The space between side of the area and the sideline is about 10 yards...
