I'm no referee, but I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Not a foul, but have seen them given. Would be a foul against ManU at Old Trafford under Fergie, but possibly not under David Moyes.

Personally think that even though he got a foot to the ball excellently, since he pushed fully with both arms that's no good. In my book (Don't know what the actual rules are) one arm is fine as long as it's not in the back, two arms is fine as long as you're not extending your elbows into a full push, but if you're pushing with two straight arms that's a no no. Next time use your body Luke!

Interested to see what our resident refs have to say...

Looks more like breaking the impact of running into him at speed rather than pushing, but a referee might interpret that either way.

Having watched it again you are probably right, the interesting thing is that watching it the first time I think I based my decision more around Clyne's body language. In a game I reckon he would have gone down when he felt the push, which would have probably influenced my decision. Shows how hard it is to be a referee.

Indeed I think he initially puts his hands on him to break the impact, but then you can see him push and extend both arms. I think what he should have been trying to do is get his arm across Clyne's back to stop him from halting his momentum and getting back towards the ball and then leaning his shoulder in and getting his body between Nat and the ball.

Interesting how much you can over-analyse about 3 seconds of footage. <laugh>

Kelvin says normally you ease up training when you start the preseason matches, but, he added ruefully, that he's not expecting that this year. ;)

I've said it already but the media team are doing an unbelievable job on this, I haven't seen any other club ever put out any coverage that compares to this. Take a bow boys.

Indeed. I've seen the top sports bods of Twitter praising them for it, as well as recent interaction and engagement tables have Saints top of all English clubs. Seen a few media folk from other clubs praising them and saying they're keeping an eye on them for ideas.

Ditto. Tried it once in the garden, it went like that - I never 'played' again.

Mayuka has picked up an injury, hence all the training in the pool.

Our coverage really is improving. I would say that Man City are the world leaders in terms of Multi-Media though, their youtube channel is fantastic and I imagine is what inspired our recent video influx.

Shame for Mayuka. Would of liked to see him start a couple on the bounce to see what he's made of

The hotel plan to plant potatoes on that range in the morning. They won't need to plough it as it has been churned over nicely for them already.

Schneiderlin's effort is hands down the worst I have ever seen anyone swing a golf club, including my mum.
