I know what you mean, but we have got to go in thinking they can play in the prem, throw them in the deep end as you say!

probably the most important thing will be seeing if K. Davis is good enough to be 2nd string, don't know how he has looked so far but from last season I doubt he is anywhere near good enough, gazzaniga has also got just as much to prove.

Wouldn't mind seeing a decent goalie come in as back up if neither gazza or davis show any form.

I get the feeling that MP is giving KD and PG game time in order to work out which one of the two should be his sub goalkeeper.

Appears pretty set in stone that Artur shall be the #1.

I wouldn't say Schalke are any better than us, it should be an even match. I honestley think we are overall the better team, but considering we are starting the game with defensive pairing of Lovren and Hooiveld, we will inevitably concede at least two goals.

Great to finally be able to see Chambers and Isgrove in action.

They did finish fourth in Bundesliga and third the year before, I think saying they're not any better than us is a little unkind. They're not miles ahead and we should certainly be comfortably holding our own against them but they're definitely a better team at this point for me.

Ok, when you put it like that, and also considering they are 14th european team in term of revenue, if we are to believe to dtlw.

But what i meant, looking at both teams and particulary the quality of football we are capable of producing, i don't see why should they be any better than us in a single game

We're not quite up to the standard of Schalke yet. Draxler obviously is a threat, but don't forget Tranquillo Barnetta. I haven't seen him play for a while, but I remember clearly what he did to England at Wembley. I imagine Farfán will get to play too.

So much for the person who said we'd been asked to play our main side. Looks like a game with lots of subs again.

Heh, Chambers getting a lesson early...cannot get too far up the pitch, or it'll end with a counter down your side where you're not anywhere in the picture.

Some good touches from Puncheon and good running from Rodriguez. Chambers caught out a couple of times when marauding.

Big Vic has helped him out of trouble.

Szalai scored a load of goals for Mainz (I think), he will be a threat as well.

He should be, big guy. I managed to land him on a free in League 1 with Preston on FIFA once. Ahhhhh, what a season.

Good cross Calum Chambers. Great, strong header from Lambert - equally good hands from Hildebrand.
