CHIEVO VERONA
Sunday 2nd August 2015 - Kick Off 12:45pm

The QPR Box Office would like to advise supporters that tickets to this fixture are now on General Sale priced: £12 Adults and £8 Seniors/Young Adults/Juniors.

Click HERE to buy or call 08444 777 007.

Being slightly soft in the head, I thought I might go along to this.
So I clicked HERE...and it takes me to a place that "no longer exists"....

Anyone have any ideas....
Conspiracy theory???
Another example of brilliant pre-season planning

And I so wanted the extra 10 loyalty points too

I think it's probably just a web-error. I don't think it's anything to do with Chris Ramsey or the players.

I spoke to the box office as I'm in the capital that weekend and thought I would take my lad to the game. Turns out that it may not be going ahead and are trying to organise another fixture.

I emailed the box office this morning as I hadn't received the tickets I ordered. The reply said "the tickets have not been issued yet as we are trying to find alternative opponents". Nice of the club to announce it!!!!

The whole pre-season adventure seems incredibly poorly organized - we should have just returned to Ireland, or Devon again (Warnock could have been hired as our tour guide to places like Bodmin).

This from a club that for a whole season forgot to obtain a work permit for a (purportedly) key signing - should we be surprised?

So it does appear to have gone tits up ...AGAIN
The oppos have pulled out, and so we are trying to arrange new opponents to play against on that day, great preparation

As some one said...Pissup in a brewery does not come into this..
Colin had it down to a tee...we went down to Devon we played 3-4 good West Country teams, we were up to speed, and we won the Championship outright

So in fact this is where I will be

Instead of playing against Cheivo Verona we are now against Bundesliga new boys FC Ingolstadt.

Thank you Jack Hampshire on facebook

We could have arranged a test run against Yeovil, plus Plymouth, Exeter, even Bodmin!

We're in good company as fas as table finishes!

R's to host Atalanta prior to the big kick-off ...

  • R's final friendly opponents confirmed as Serie A side Atalanta
  • Fixture at Loftus Road will kick-off at 12.45pm on Sunday 2nd August
  • Italians finished 17th in Italian top-flight last season
QPR'S final friendly of the pre-season campaign will now be played against Serie A side Atalanta.

Chris Ramsey's side will play host to the Italian outfit on Sunday 2nd August at Loftus Road - kick-off 12.45pm.

Rangers were originally due to play Chievo Verona, but - as QPR's Director of Football, Les Ferdinand, explained to www.qpr.co.uk - the late change has been forced on the club owing to the failings of their tour promoter.

Ferdinand said: “We've encountered a few issues in pre-season with our tour promoter and the proposed fixture against Chievo has been cancelled as a result.

“The club will be pursuing the problems we’ve had with the promoter in due course, but in the meantime, we're delighted Atalanta have agreed to play us and it's a fixture we’re really looking forward to ahead of the big kick-off.”

Atalanta, who are managed by former Lazio coach Edoardo Reja, finished 17th in the Italian top-flight last season.

Supporters who have already purchased tickets for the August 2nd friendly should note that their tickets will remain valid. Tickets will go back on sale on Monday from 10.00am HERE

Are we still playing Atalanta? I mean it's been more than 12 hours since the last change of opponents, perhaps we'll end up playing the Tony Soprano Invitation XI, complete with horse's heads...

Atalanta have cancelled their friendly with Besiktas in Graz, so will face QPR in England on August 2 instead.

The Orobici were due to play a glamourous match against the Turkish club in Austria on August 1.

However, the stadium in Graz is no longer available and there were concerns over public safety staging it elsewhere.

Instead, that game has been annulled and Atalanta will now fly to England for a match against QPR on August 2.

That will be staged at Loftus Road in London.

So they dump Besikas to play us.....I can see why it is so difficult to have sensible pre-season

Atalanta is a strange club, up and down all the time.....bit like us, never consistently with the big boys, but a few historical moments when they nearly made it. They are from Bergamo, a town about 50 miles or less from Milan at the foot of the Alps.Went there a few times for quasi derbies, always good fun, though sometimes a bit rough. The locals speak a dialect which no one else can come close to understanding. The sort of place where I would imagine rugby would flourish.

Plenty of time for us to end up playing Wycombe.

Great place Bergamo and you can get there cheap with Ryanair.
