Pre season friendlies Match thread.

Sounds like quite a good game in the first half. Some good stuff from Watford, just need to find the goal now.

 

Three changes but missed it. The cork was not easy to get out.

 

I think Acuna, Faraoni and Fabrinni came on - missed who went off though

 

Will Bond start as our No.1 keeper and will we get another keeper is the current discussion.

He has just pulled off two good saves.

Young Schotterl was released, so must be doing us a favour.
With MA injured, we will need backup for Bond. Is that Litharanian guy still around?
With our connections we should be able to get someone decent.

Game has become dis-jointed with all of the changes. Murray creating a good impression since he came on.

 

Derek Payne having all sorts of problems pronouncing Acuna's name - god only knows what trouble he'll have with all the other new signings.

 

That's it. 1-1 but an entertaining evening.

 

Despite the signings Deeney is going to be our top goal scorer if he stats fit etc.

Watford were a pleasure to watch this evening, if I were a gambling man I would be tempted to have a small wager
on the Hornets gaining promotion, they are better than some of the current incumbents within the Premiership.

(What a change from the dross I watched when we were both struggling in Div 4/League 2).

With many of your former loanees of last season joining the Hornets on a permanent basis you have a strong team.

Hopefully come the end of the season Posh will be back in the Championship but will have to miss out playing Watford because they will be in the Prem!

 

Thanks pete. I think that there has always been a healthy respect between our two sides, and a good relationship between the fans. I think that a lot here were saddened when you failed at the last hurdle. Many were urging you on.

I did read today that the question of London Road development is moving forward. Sounds as if the terrace will be going.

Yes it will, although Posh are one of the clubs campaigning for safe standing areas to be included within the Stands
