If ever you did want to reconsider associating with Paul May, members on here could share the evidence of comments he has made about their family members.
Definitely not, but with my youthful good looks I could get away with people thinking he was my father. What is Mr van Gerwen? 58?
To get this thread back on track, I am quite looking forward to see our new players and see what formation we use against Crawley.
An interesting fixture. Two weeks before the League One season kicks off, three weeks before the Premier League season begins. I hope Brighton decide to field a reasonable number of their strongest XI, presumably Charlton will put our best team out for that game.
Will be good to see Dale Stephens again. Another asset undersold by the Virus, if I recall correctly ...
We were so outraged about Yann being offloaded that the sale of Stephens seemed to slip through almost unnoticed
Johnnie Jackson described Stephens are technically the best player he has played with at Charlton. But Thomas Driesen thought that Christophe Le Pen was better.
Interesting news; https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5b...-season-friendly-put-back-a-week-to-july-14th It looks like there will not be a pre-season tour now. Thus the first pre-season match can be put back a week. Acknowledgment that summer preparations for this coming season are behind schedule (a situation we are pretty much aware of despite a lack of news in the last few weeks). However, its good to see this has been acknowledged and action taken to deal with it.
This game is only 3 weeks before the new season starts, I assume there will be a game a week earlier. Absolute chaos behind the scenes.
NEWSFLASH (courtesy of Bexleyboy on ITTV) Charlton's first pre-season Friendly against Welling United has been moved back (and forwards) to July 7th again (12:30pm kick-off) This information is currently on the Welling United website: http://www.wellingunited.com/wp/ But has not appeared yet on the CAFC website.
Update: Strangely this second change of date for the Welling V Charlton pre-season fixture has not been verified on the CAFC website yet. The 'new' message on the Welling website is dated 15th June - which is the same date that the first re-scheduling of this fixture was announced (from July 7th to July 14th) on the Charlton website. So it looks as though Welling United have changed their 15th June message rather than just making a new announcement. That does not seem a very clear way to go about things. The message looks genuine enough, but I wonder now if it has been changed by somebody mucking around? Or perhaps there is a disagreement between the two Clubs now about the date of this fixture?
