I assume Onien, Wyke and Hume won't he allowed to play today as their contracts have officially expired?

At least we will get to see the new strip. Wonder if they release pics officially before the game.

 

They could play as trialists although if they're not planning on signing i wouldn't bother

 

I was thinking the insurance and stuff must have ran out to cover them in case they get injured. Guess we will see if they are there or not, it may give us a few answers as to their futures.

Funny no official release prior to pre-season?

As its been dubbed as a training friendly – which will be played out over the course of three 30-minute periods, will allow them to get away with playing in the new training gear?

 

Still 3 hrs to go . It would be weird if they wore last seasons gear. Is that even contractually allowed?

Would he nice to have some official clarification from the club on it though.

I'd have thought Nike would put an end date on using the old stuff and given that the players contracts run until 30th June I'd have expected it to be the same date. Same as all of the other sponsorship boards and stuff around the stadium and on the website etc that will all need swapping over if they haven't been renewed.

Certainly did not expect to see Grigg in a Sunderland shirt again. Either LJ has magnificent powers of persuasion or Grigg is going to extract the urine again. Hopefully Grigg does what he should be more than capable of.

 

Will Grigg It’s disgusting to see him turning out in red and white again, pre-season or not.
