All the time people cheer and clap when their stand is introduced, it will keep on being done. I suppose that suggests that some people must like it, or at least tolerate it and go along with it.

I guarantee there will be a correlation between people who like it and PLWs.

    Also kids.

Music should be used to amp up the atmosphere like other grounds. Not that introduction crap. Stoke's music was good pre-match.

St Pauli is brilliant. Instead of introducing the stands in a gay way, they play Hells Bells by ACDC (or they did when I was there). ****ing terriffic.

    Absolutely hate it.

Made 100x worse when he shouts 'COME ON!' to try and get people fired up, despite there being a good few minutes before kick off.

Personally I dont mind it - the noise the East Stand used to make the hairs on the back of my neck tingle, but now half the east stand is away fans, it doesnt have the same effect.

Dont mind if it stays or goes

Not keen now, the best atmospheres we seemed to have had are when the clappers was out, when I first heard they were giving them out I thought what a load of crap they will be, even if just the kids got them it would help create a bit more noise. Having said that I do think the music is such an important choice and it would be nice if everyone was in their seat a few minutes before kick off to help build up the atmosphere before the team came out of the tunnel. We have had some brilliant atmospheres at the KC but properly once in every 20 games., it proves the crowd and the stadium can on its day create a fantastic noise but it just doesn't happen enough

Last two times I've been to Ipswich (sorry to any whose heard this before) they REALLY got the crowd ready to rock with...................................ROCK MUSIC!! Several popular classic Rock tracks for 10mins before KO. It just works!

It still gets a big noise from each stand. So the proof seems to be in the pudding whatever you lot think...

It's naff but it hasn't died on its arse yet.

That begs the question, would it be at least as loud without it?

A good riff is always good. Is this going to flow over to the Friday Night Music Thread? Although I'll miss it!:emoticon-0101-sadsm

I don't think there's owt wrong with getting each stand to make a bit of noise ahead of kick off, but my problem has always been that it seems to be done as an attempt to impress the away fans, and this just makes us look daft. It might've impressed some of the smaller clubs in the Championship, but it's laughable in the PL.

    I think it's dog ****.

I have banned my son from joining in any sort of retort to Jordan's attempt to rouse the crowd.

Like me he just stands and stares.

Me in embarrassment and disbelief and him in a melancholy stupor at not being allowed to join in the 'fun' by his miserable bastard of a dad.

Junior will be even less impressed when I start flicking the rods and scream at Jordan to **** off and die as he goes through his pantomime, clown shoe of an act. The Chelsea game looks as good a game to start as any.

    No, I'm not a fan.

What do you when Jordan starts his rallying cry "CMOOOOON, CMOOOON!" as he walks off?
