As most know the collective Irish R's are making a pilgrimage the HQ on Saturday. The Conningham has set aside a room for pre and post (?) match drinks, however maybe not everyone wants to be stuck in a room with 40 or so Irish R's, so looking for an alternative for a social pint or 2 and a chance to catch up with old friends.

A few bars have come up in conversation, the C & S, Defectors Weld wherever that is (?) and the Bull in Westfield has been mentioned. Personally I'm not fussed as long as a nice pint and some decent food is served and will go with the flow.

So any preferences?

I'll be meeting a couple of pals in the Pavilion, Trammers. It's a little bit off the beaten track, but no further from the ground than the other places mentioned - as my father would have said, "it's a ten minute walk if you run". I'd be delighted to buy you a pint if you fancy making your way down there.

Cheers Strolls, not sure where the Pavillion is.....the only one I can recall was on Old Oak Common Lane by the Scrubs. Anyway think the C&S is looking the favourite but maybe next time.......

That's the one, where Wood Lane meets Scrubs Lane. The C&S is probably a better choice anyway - they make you drink Guinness out of plastic glasses in the Pav on match days - but it's hard to get my lot to switch. Have a great day and best to all the Irish Rs.
