Instead of relying on a guy with a microphone, and ****ty music, why Dont us the Supporters get the atmosphere going before a game? Probably why the atmospheres so ****e, relying on music etc to create atmosphere get a grip A few City songs, going through all the players we have songs about, a few inflatable banana's and blow up dolls threw about, songs about the opposition and jobs a good un!
Some older people who went in my local always maintained it was anEnglish band's version of the song. English bands who recorded it included Ambrose, Jack Hylton, Lew Stone, Billy Cotton, Jack Payne and Ray Noble. One person was adamant it was Ray Noble, one said Ambrose, another Jack Payne. To complicate it one reckoned it was first Ambrose's version and then Jack Payne's. I wonder if there is anyone who could give a definitive answer?

More complications! My husband and 3 others went to the same high school in Hull and all were Tigers fans of roughly the same age.Two of them post on here with one of them like my husband going from 1946 and the 2 others starting shortly afterwards. He is in direct contact with 2 of them and the other via another forum. When asked about their recollections of the version of Tiger Rag played, here are the answers. 1. "Kid Ory Jazz Band followed later by Peter, Paul and Mary" ...... 2. "Peter Paul and Mary although another version woud have been used before their recording came out in the early 50's".......3."Traditional Jazz Band probably Kid Ory"........4.(my husband)'" Mills Brothers". I have also seen on another forum on this topic a recollection that the Billy Cotton version was used. If we find someone who has the definitive answer we could you also ask the years it was first and last played at a Hull City match as pitch entry music.
A song that was played for 30 years, and no one can ****ing remember which one it was. Can't have been that good can it?
It was 90% of the callers (not just those aired) that said they preferred it. The club isn't going to use it (or any other version) in the build up, but they have said they might use it elsewhere and have asked if that's ok.
On the Elvis song before kick off, I don't know if anyone remembers but towards the end of last season I did a bit of work for Uni on the customer experience at City and asked for some opinions on here before sendingit. Pretty much everyone said to get rid of the Elvis song, I sent it to the club too so that might of had a bit of an impact?
