Maybe so, but would you ask your friend for 'public' accountability? Of course rational people would wonder where LB's money comes from - if nothing else, that's human nature - but that doesn't mean he has to publicly divulge. And as to others concerned over his 'history' of bankruptcy - that really means little. There are quite a few examples around of businessmen declared bankrupt who later legally build up their fortunes again - on far larger scales than LB has managed.
