I'm looking at this from a distance and hoping things aren't as they seem - if you credit your mate then I'll accept the story as it stands. (But this bloke today did my head in, also kept banging on about the Ospreys - luckily there were a couple of empty seats a few rows away and I moved three for the second half.)
Well the way I see it Bob is that it doesn't really matter who believes what and there are two alternatives here if it's not true. Either I'm making it up or my mate is. I know I'm not and will be pretty pissed off if anyone here suggests I am. In fact I thought long and hard about posting this because it's not really my style. My mate isn't the type to make this up and did send me the pic of him and Poz taken last night. Good enough for me but if others don't accept it then I don't really care. No offence to anyone intended. No comment yet from daiswan who was adamant that our players wouldn't be out on a Friday night.
Regardless if its true , Poz and others aren t playing .... espesially Poz.....its personal . This is a very good team thats been assembled and if Monk can keep them together and bring the best out of them , its his job to lose . If he cant keep this team together , he has to move aside and let someone who can build another build one because his test drive of someone elses team will be over.
they would not be out on a friday night on the piss with a game being played on the Saturday. No player would jeopardize his contract like that however much you think your mate is right.
Believe what you want. I know my mate only goes into town on Fridays but who cares? View attachment 30953
Don't worry about them dragonB. You've told us what you've heard so good on you. Thing is that some are taking this as a reason to bash Monk. Again, all you were told was that Pozuallo had fallen out with GM, not why. Maybe it was Poz's agent who leaked training incidents to the press, Monk seemed to know who it was and if it was then ta ta Pozuallo. Maybe he and Canas have been disruptive in training or backstabbing. Many have tagged Monk with this label but maybe they are wrong and it was a select bunch of egos within a clique that were doing all the bitching. We don't know anything really do we? however, we wont miss Pozuello, Alvarez or Canas. I don't think Michu and Bony can play effectively together in the same team either. From what I saw, and this is just my opinion, Michu wouldn't pass the ball to Bony and seemed very reluctant to congratulate Bony when he scored. Bony had to go to him to thank him for an assist, just an observation. I'll be glad when this season is over and all residue from Laudrup's reign has gone; meaning his ineffectual signings mentioned above. Chico I'm on the fence, he blocks with one foot then trips with the other. A true character but also a loose cannon, would we miss him? I'd invest my time in Amat. I would miss Michu though
Because he'd said so earlier, Bob. Deluded if he believes that but like I said who cares? As Stumpy has said I only reported what I heard and that I happen to believe it. If others choose not to that's their call.
No reason why he wouldn't be out if he knew he wasnt going to feature. Seen it in the past and who is to say these boys will go out and get drunk ? looks like both him and canas are out though, which is a shame as neither have never let the team down and its noticable that britton has dropped off since his position has become comfortable again . Looking at signing mark davies, well we have a better talent in Poz already here, IMO we are pissing away money and being frugale in the wrong places. If there are problems then we need to manage the players to get the best out of them,if all else fails then fair enough but these boys featured up until the fight and that hppened under monks watch .
One consolation if Monk was dropped is maybe Poz could be lured to stay , lots of potential for peanuts . Cant see him being a happy camper though , when you go from being the most used player under one manager right into an unused player under another there is something personal going on .... very unprofessional toward the player imo.
Like I said guys it really wasn't my intention to knock Monk with this thead. I simply reported the story with some evidence to back it up. The choice is the reader's on whether to believe it and I honestly couldn't give a monkeys. I do agree with your post though Norway.
Well ive heard so many things lately about the events that have taken place and using the rule of two sides to every story with the truth in the middle means that there is turmoil behind the scenes on the player front . Things also change so fast so what you hear on a Monday after a heart to heart is all good on a wednesday !! Looks like the following will be surplus though Poz Canas Lamah Tiendalli Michu None of those players have let us down on the field and all things considered on the field is where it matters . Management is about solving personal issues and getting the best from the team ,anyone can sack or remove somebody to solve the problem but at a football club your talking about players that have a contract for 3yrs in some cases . Many people were talking about Poz being our own version of coutinho just a few months back, now we are looking at this kid from Bolton who is so good that nobody wants to sign him ! I just hope that Monk boxes clever and doesnt be too headstronog, we aint the kind of cub that can keep 30k a week players up in the stands and not for one minute are the likes of Canas and poz not good enough for this level. The human factor needs t obe considered here too . Henry at Arsenal was ****e in his first year, same with geruid some players need time ,lucas at Liverpool is yet another example, players from abroad donyt always start off well but its clear to see these boys have done enough to show they potential . Primarily they are apparently pissed off because they are not playing, well for me that shows the right attitude not the wrong one, id be far more worried if they are happy to do nothing and sit in the stands , maybe they are but i dont think so .
