Monty, do you read what you write? Sometimes I wonder mate, I really do.

You seem to have no grasp at all of the mess we were dumped in by Bruce, Mon and Di Canio. I`ll tell you what, come back in two seasons. If there`s no improvement, then I`ll listen. Until then give it a rest eh?

Care to bet a wager? Sick of you moaning like a little bitch. If we go down I'll leave the board. If we don't go down you leave the board. Either way I'll be shot of you. Another half season of you is about all I can take so please have the balls take my up on this bet so we can see how much you value your own warped opinions.

Spot on grandpops. I'd excuse di Canio a bit because he always claimed di Fanti signed most of those duds - and the later row between Poyet and di Fanti makes that believable. But still, you're right - Short backed Bruce to the hilt, and saw Cana, Bent, and Gyan all leaving inside eighteen months. The manager was the problem there, not the players willingness to come here. Had it not been for Quinn taking Villa for £24 million, we'd have been damn near bankrupt because of it. And O'Neill was no better.

I'm still keeping an open mind about Poyet - it took him eight months to get us out of the bottom three last season, which isn't great, so if you disagree perhaps you can excuse me. At least my view is backed with solid reasons. But criticizing Short for dragging us back from a Bolton situation is absolute nonsense. For me, he's the best Chairman we've had since Ditchburn in the early 1950s, and the game's changed completely since then.
