I hoped it was wumming. If it's an actual point - i.e. comparing SBR's 13 years at Ipswich in the First Division (used to be called that, dont you know), including European Cup (Champions League to you) wins, lifelong support of his hometown club and subsequent triumphant return to his roots after year upon year of success with PSV, Barcelona and FC Porto to Dick Advocaat getting the job at Sunderland, god help you.

It was simply comparing the appointment of one '67 year old who'd come from Holland' with another ....... nothing more than that.

Lee Ryder is trying to make the case that Advocaat is a doddering old fool, hence my post.

It appears you're getting wound up over nothing, I was responding to a 'tongue in cheek' post in kind.

I'm not trying to wind you up, no one else seems that bothered.

Dick Advocaat >or= Bobby Robson clearly...

I see the Echo have run a summary of his career http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sp...s_done_right_or_wrong_before_Sunderland_post/

I love that even he thought he was finished in 2012 and retired from club management. I think he is a good fit for them. He doesn't like to stay long (10 jobs in 10 years between 2004-2014) and Ellis doesn't like them staying very long (7th manager in 7 years). These bloody Texans eh, trigger happy.

A word of warning to Newcastle fans though, a career of abject failure and being a globe trotting money seeking whore, has been truncated by the odd spell of success or mediocrity at the likes of PSV, Rangers and Zenit. They were operating on big budgets however. I know Ellis has a few quid, however I'm reliably informed by my mackem friends that he doesn't spend it.

It's not an in-depth analysis of the entire careers of the two men.

No doubt the Newcastle manager, Mr 'Sir Bobby has blessed me' Carver, will easily outwit the senile Mr Advocaat in the derby <ok>

You appear to have repeated yourself. Those head injuries from your days on the doors are clearly catching up with you. I think you and Dick should go for a pint. Imagine the laughs as you tell each other tales from your much travelled lives. Then repeat them due to alzheimer's.

Deliberately, you're not worth a post each ..... as you've simply repeated yourselves and ignored what I've said <ok>

You seem unable to read what's posted and respond accordingly ......... perhaps some mental deficiency.

I don't believe you, you have a long history of telling porkies. You're also really old by all accounts. I'll stick with my alzheimers theory. <ok>

You feeling the need to then edit that post doesn't really do you any favours does it?

Would you like me to correct them for you? I could pick you up on your misuse of the English language, but that would be childish <ok>

I don't think you're capable but, go on, do your best.

You don't seem to have much else as a response.

You're typical of the reason many of the decent Newcastle lads have stopped posting.

As I say I have no desire to act in such a childish and desperate manner. If you are keen to know, just re-read your posts on this thread or just about any on the Sunderland board. I'm sure you'll find all manner of shorthand, bad grammar, poor english, and so on. I'm sure you'll have struggled to use an ellipsis correctly, or used shorthand like tbh, tbf etc which any English teacher would have a field day with. Happy hunting but just remember, despite you being taught regular 'lessons', this isn't a classroom <ok>

No you won't ......... you're full of shyte. If it's true then post the proof or shut up.

You posted a stupid comment, I responded in kind and now you'll do anything but admit it.

It's pathetic and typical of why the Newcastle board is so poor at the moment.

'Regular lessons'? I haven't posted on here for ages you knobsack <doh>

If it's not a classroom then why attempt, poorly, to pull me up and suggest I'm suffering from some kind of mental illness <doh>

If I am then how come you can't get the better of me?

Settle down. Lets not add heart trouble to your alzheimers. It was merely an observation from having read the odd post from you over the years. Hand on your dicky heart, can you honestly say you haven't recently misused an ellipsis or used the shorthand "tbh"? Most of us will do things like this, its nothing to be ashamed of or get upset about.

I find that when people resort to pulling people on their grammar etc on forums, they are either:

    A. An english teacher
    B. A wannabe english teacher
    C. A pompous prick
    D. Floundering desperately in a bit of verbal jousting
    E. Having a laugh and on the wind up

As long as you remain aware of this, you'll always have fun with that person.

I'm perfectly settled and just laughing at your pathetic comebacks.

You started the 'senility' shyte but make more spelling & grammatical mistakes than I ever have.

You accused me of making all kinds of mistakes but spectacularly fail to produce any evidence <doh>

You try to make things personal because you simply don't have an answer.

    It's pathetic tbh.

The inevitable pathetic response of a man with absolutely no answers ... congratulations on proving yourself a loser <ok>

You're looking more desperate with every post <doh>

You were saying something about 'all manner of shorthand, bad grammar, poor english, and so on'.
