If we are lucky they will sign Pardew. This should guarantee us a derby victory.

Only Sunderland could appoint a manager with a name like Dick before a derby. Thank you very much, the piss taking will ease the pain of another defeat. Also should a club with a drinking culture be appointing a manager with the name Advocaat? He led Ranger into administration through wild spending (including 12m on Flo <laugh>), has whored himself from one club to another where he can pick up a paycheck, was stupid enough to field an ineligible amount of foreign players while in Russia, and is bloody 67! Don't forget he got schooled by none other than Martin O'Neill <whistle>

I can't believe this is the plan? Even to the end of the season, this senile old bastard could do some serious damage.

Always thought they liked a lot of dick in Sunderland.

On a serious note, bringing in a temporary manager Is a good move, but the choice baffles me.......
The bloke hasn't managed in the PL before and to go straight into a narrow run of games like this could backfire..
I'd have thought a Warnock type option or even Roy Keane, or O'Leary would have been better than this chap.

Bloody wasted on you lot. Don't know why I bother delivering such high quality humour, you're utterly undeserving of this talent. I'm off to create a new game that only I can win!

    I struggle to see how.

    1. John Carver has already taken up that role
    2. Unlike Sunderland, we are not perennial relegation battlers and it is highly unlikely we will get dragged in this season.

If the serious damage you speak of is only a derby defeat, I think you need to look up the meaning of serious.

So are you happy with this senile old fool with a dodgy record? I did think it was nice the way Serbia got rid of him, letting him leave with his dignity after failing so badly. One should always treat the elderly well. We'll all be old someday.

An ex-international manager coming from Holland, at the age of 67, without any previous PL experience.

I have to say, you have a good point.

Who on earth would appoint someone like that <doh>

    Seriously?

Fair enough but I see it as mildly responding to a wum post.

I expect you'll see that as 'the worst biting ever' <ok>

Anyway, I've made my point, think what you like.
