He says he has learn't a lot today.........well Gus, so did we mate and it was more about you than the team.

You are obviously gullible and have listened to Gardner and O'Shea to bring back Bardsley - what must the other players be thinking.

He looked a broken man on Sky, absolutely blank expression- it reminded me of Mick Buxton at his worst - I hope it was because he felt let down.

Agree that i think players influenced his selection. I think he was probably thinking player harmony might help. It didn't. Any team with Bardsley oshea and Larsson in it is going to lose and lose bad.

I hope he learnt that these three should not be playing.

Don't know where you get this idea that the players picked the team!!!
He played 4 defenders in defence.

He doesn't have that much to choose from people, thought we played well until the own goal, and before that Chico should have been sent off.

When your down the bottom you get **** all for free

Looked like we couldn't pass a turd all match !! Let alone string a few passes together. And yet another goal where even if I were stood guarding the post at the corner would have blocked.!!! Arrrrgh !! <grr>

My young son even said after the 2nd went in "Dad, how come we lost the ball from the kick off so easily that they scored again so soon? !!" . That, my son, sums up SAFC at the moment, hopefully Gus will sort them out ........ and bloody soon.

I agree, but would add that we need to compete for 90+ minutes. We haven't this season, that's why we have one point and -15 goal difference.

We were decent without threatening first half, second half we were gash.

You give the players a clue on who to pass to - they put their team mates in similar coloured strips - yet this lot seem beyond even this rudimentary task.

I hope he realises that he needs to make his own mistakes and not perpetuate those of Bruce, MON & PDC by continuing to play JOS, Bardsley, Larsson et al

We didn't take our chances in the 1st half and paid the price the 2nd..The ref didn't help either as it looked to me that he had Swansea to win on his coupon..

Zero shots on target first half and only one in the second tells me 1: You didn't deserve anything from the game and 2: You can't blame the ref.

We were the poorest I've seen in ages first half but fair play that was largely down to your disciplined defensive display. But in the 2nd half Routledge and Dyer played wider and started to get some joy, and you were as ill-disciplined in that half as you were good in the first.

4-0 was flattering but that's the way it goes. Poyet should do OK for you and anything's better than Di Canio. Your players just need to keep their concentration for the full 90.

    Chico sent off for what????
Seriously the only player who should have gone was Bardsley (I think) late and very nasty - and Roberge was lucky not to have been considered last man when he brought down Michu. So the ref probably got it right.
Got to say some of your players went down incredibly cheaply - not fairy forwards looking to con the ref (ala Spurs, Arsenral etc) but midfielder and full backs. Too many Billy big bolos and not enough dog or skill. hopefully Poyet will get your players acting like men and playing like professionals.
But get real - today you were more dreadful than the team you played.

He should have walked for the 3/4 bookable challenges he made whilst already on a yellow????

I don't believe that senior players picked the team today at all and this conspiracy theory has no legs to me. Poyet picked players who can play on their correct positions and for 45 mins it worked. We conceded a stupid 1st goal and heads dropped straight away. Apart from the well struck shot, the other 2 were just shocking relegation style defensive **** ups.

I think he will change things for the derby game from the back of things he learned today in his first game. I think some of the 'old guard' will be dropped.

I'm not implying they did pick the team fella. They know how to play the dressing room politics. Unity can deceive and never underestimate the power of suggestion.
