You could have added at least another £10 million to that before Hernandez went berserk. Maybe it's because Bruce was a defender (why City waste money) although you'd think an old defender could see a striker that would have caused them problems.
I think some people and the Press are reading too much into Bruce's comments about signing Powell. He has said the same about Akpom and Hayden as a way to give the loan players an incentive to impress in the final games of the season.
I think we all need to park "Diomande" in the next season tray. He shows flashes but thankfully is no longer key to success this season. Give the bloke a chance and cut him some slack.
Even before we hit the heights we've had so many Duff forwards over the years, enough for its own thread. One was even called Duff nearly
Not a case of having a go at him, just wondering what's happened to him doesn't seem to feature in any sort of football for city i.e. U-21 or anything else, I'm hoping the lad is a success at city.
Good piece on NP from Rick Skelton: http://boothferrytowembley.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/can-nick-powell-rebuild-his-promising.html
I've been looking for this thread. We should sign Powell, I don't think there is much risk involved, he looks to have a lot of good attributes such as pace, technique, deadball delivery and is a big fella too. We won't see the best of him till next season in any case which is a bit unfortunate for now but he looks like a player (copyright Michael Owen) to me
Two cup games and three sub appearances in the league is nowhere near enough to base a purchase on, he's got another twelve games to prove his worth.
