Chris Powell is very clued up on what sort of mentality teams will arrive at The Valley with this season and probably just wants to ease the pressure of his team with his comments this weekend. (Article below).

Great young manager, very knowledgable and seems to have good man manager skills. Patience will be important at Charlton this year, in what's a tough league.

Thanks for posting, but please be more careful with your use of capital letters. I thought for a moment there that Charlton were going for another historic "first" and that CP was going to sign a woman player for the team.

Isn't it his job to figure out ways of countering such tactics, by opposition teams, rather than pre-preparing an excuse for poor results? After all we all knew that Oldham were going to play that way didn't we?
