Its too early to say really, need to see who signs who in the summer, but Liverpool, if they make one or two astute signings, are in a with a big chance imo.

Here’s a prediction, Salah will never have a season remotely like this one in his career. Boooommm. He’s laid down some potential vaulting gold right there......

Take him out of that side this season and they’re pretty meh on the whole, top 6 probably but not anywhere near good enough to challenge for the title or the CL. He’s been the difference this season as he’s been absolutely unbelievable.

 

If you look at the things he's doing on the pitch, dribbling, assists, movement as well as goals then I think the word you used "remotley" could be your downfall in that sentence. He's a very good player and that wont change, keeping him will be our problem.

 

But you could say the same for nearly every top club.

Remove Ronaldo from RM for example...

Even on a lower level..
Remove Hazard from Chelsea
Remove Kane from Spurs
Remove De Gea from Utd



With a fully fit squad we'd still have 2 top goal scorers in Firmino and Mane.

Plus as Luv points out it's clear Salah has the full skill set so it's extremely unlikely he'll just flop. I don't expect him to hit 40 goals next season but he'll still be a beast.

 

Worked on Castle street for a few years and then Hope Street a coupe more and I could count on one hand the number of Liverpool fans I worked with who didn't genuinely think they were going to win the title "next year" and then proceed to tell you in detail about why it was going to happen. Unfortunately, in a similar manner to the Liverpool players, they often seemed to forget about the other teams.

Liverpool already have probably the second best team in the league, some distance from the second best squad and a chasm from the best of either. Great to have three teams at the top of the league who are genuinely often exciting to watch.

When I was in Castle Street they won the Champions League and then a year os so later signed Torres. They should have won the league around that time and I honestly think that team (Mascherano, Gerrard, Alonso in midfield with Torres up front) would beat their current team - still no joy.

As an aside, it is simply amazing how many fans that Istanbul stadium must have been able to hold.
