I don't think we'll hear anything until the play-offs are decided. I think Lampard would jump at the chance should Derby lose.
Bye bye Potter. It was good while it lasted. Brighton are set to appoint Graham Potter as their new manager after he informed Swansea City that he wants to leave. Brighton sacked Chris Hughton on Monday and immediately targeted Potter. Swansea offered Potter a new contract which would have made him one of the best-paid managers in the Championship. But the 43-year-old felt he could not reject a Premier League job offer and is set to join Brighton, who will pay more than £2m in compensation.
BBC reporting it now as well. More disappointment for the fans again. When you think that Brighton are now in a position where they are more attractive a job than us, it shows how far backwards we've gone under these owners.
You know what guys........I don't fukn blame the man in the least. Guess he will take his backroom staff with him as well. Our board will have planned for this so in the vvanks we trust. Swansea Till I Die
It's blatantly obvious that whatever was said in the meeting did not fill Potter with enough confidence to believe we are capable of promotion. Routledge and Potter gone on the same day. The dismantling/fire sale continues.......
.... Anyone else find this sickening that it's happening on the day Man City are winning the FA Cup, despite being beaten by us in the Quarter Final?
Basically confirms the suspicion that they only offered Potter an improved contract in order to persuade Brighton to up their compensation payment. It also suggests that Potter didn't hold out much / any hope of being able to spend money to strengthen the squad this year.
That's why we will have him, don't blame Potter one bit, The only ones to blame for the state of our club is the money grabbing yank ****ers, the sooner they **** off the better. Our club is ****ed whilst they remain.
