Nice and to the point Ric..
I said this last week, should TP move upstairs??????? I'm sure a guy like Jol would get the lads playing on the deck more. That is what's missing.
And Canary Spurs I think there's a good chance Defoe might come here, he knows Crouch and visa versa. If ya don't ask as they say..

Why do I get the feeling we are going to end up with a five foot four left back. <doh>

If we offered six and a half? I think Jarvis is that good Smither's just IMO of course. As usual, Pulis has mentioned TEN so we've no chance at that price, I woudn't pay anywhere near that..

I agree with that valuation, about 6 and a half. Trying to think of players we could put in with the deal and coming up short... Jones too expensive, and I doubt would go down a league, Walters probably Would, but Pulis won't let him go etc etc, I don't thinks we've got much in the way of players to swap, they're all either too good, or worth virtually nowt.

lets wait and see where this goes, maybe 4 million plus 2 or 3 players?

I saw this article a few days ago, and as you will note it featured in the rather dubious Daily Star; nevertheless it's worth a look.

With Didier Drogba now confirming that he will be leaving Chelsea and not going to another English club, Stoke boss Tony Pulis has found an alternative to his (not really his) plan to bring the Ivorian to the Britannia; bring in the man once dubbed the “new Didier Drogab”.

According to the Daily Star, Pulis is looking to bring in Andre Villas-Boas’ best buddy, Romelu Lukaku, to Stoke City on a season long loan deal to give the player some much needed playing time and to reignite his stuttering career in English football, as well giving Stoke’s forward line a boost.

Lukaku, who joined Chelsea before Villas-Boas’ arrival and cost the club £18m last Summer, only made eight first team appearances for the club last season and not scoring a single goal. Lukaku expressed his anger about his time at Chelsea thus far in the aftermath of the Champions League final, claiming has learned “nothing” at the club.

However, Stoke as well as West Ham, are interested in the teenager who netted 33 times in 73 games for Anderlecht and won something rather dubiously (from my English ‘don’t want to upset anyone point of view’) called the “Belgian Ebony Shoe” in his time at the club.

I think a loan move for a young, strong, fast goal scorer would make more sence and be more financially viable than sinking 10-15 million into one that could flop!

We've been linked with this guy before in the January transfer window, at first it said we had agreed a loan deal for the summer, and then we apparently we tried to get him that window, which was against the rules....
By the sounds of Lukaku, I think Pulis would play him, sounds like one of his kinda players.

I suppose time will tell! Hope we have some other lined up, I think we often put all our eggs in one basket.
