Ironic coming from someone North of the border.

Not ironic at all. Scotland, in it's populous parts, is a ****in ****ehole as well. But, we can continue to nit-pick over which bit of a turd is the turdiest.

North Lincolnshire is welcome in a kind of 'Gurkhas are also British soldiers' kind of way. You're free to tag along. <ok>

I was going by that colour map someone posted earlier, I consider myself a Northerner, because when i have my third meal of the day i call it tea.

Nice one, welcome. <ok>

Talking of Northern Dialect, one of the most fascinating things is our rich diversity of words for an alleyway. Round here, it's known as a 'ginnel'. Fellow Northerners, what is your own way of referring to these handy little sidestreets?
