They're both utterly dislikeable, though. Probably hurts votes.

A Letter To Spurs Fans from Dejan Kulusevksi:
    https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/dejan-kulusevski-premier-league-tottenham-hotspur-soccer
:emoticon-0159-music Gimme, gimme, gimme a ginger from Sweden! :emoticon-0159-music

His sister is ****ing brutal! <laugh> Reads like there's very little or no PR involved, bizarrely.
I posted it here because of the end bit about the manager, though.
“I don’t care if we lose, because everyone loses in life. If we lose, we’re going to lose on our terms. Never go away from being you.”

That feels like my Tottenham. That's what's been missing under the last few years.
Things aren't perfect and they're never going to be.
Going down under your own terms is different, though.

I've never seen such honesty from a current player before, he now has my respect, hands up , I was one of those that thought " what the **** have we done signing this bloke" but later that season he turned me round
He frustrates at times but as Sunday 3 involvements in a game where you didn't know he was on the pitch at times
    Keep going Deki ,COYS

Ange is the best thing to happen to Spurs for many years. The Australians are almost world experts on Sport and they always play to win and know how to. Combine that with his Greekness and that means he invented everything and is completely confident in his own skin. I know this, I have a Greek wife.
An Australian/Greek is the perfect sporting fit for Tottenham Hotspur and Danny Blanchflower would be delighted that at last we have a manager that gets Spurs.

Just remembering that 'at last' feeling when Martin Jol arrived. He and Ange could be brothers.

So we appear to have reached a pivotal moment :

The opposition is not venturing into the "pivot trap" ,
and is going full busparquet in defence.

Or reworded : there is no Ange-ball, but Portu-ball instead.

So if you were the manager or coaches, what training
regimes would you enforce so the squad is drilled
    into overcoming this scenario ??

It’s been a problem in recent games. Newcastle actually did press us but we just couldn’t control the game in their half, and we didn’t play out as well as we have done in other games, particularly at the start of the season. I think the control and final 3rd threat are the biggest issues and we need a better 6 to run the midfield and better profiles on the wings, more 1v1 dribblers who can get past a man in tight spaces.

When busparquet is in use, the opposition
must not be allowed to reset when their attacks
break down. Similarly they must continually be
forced to run rather than jog around in order to
    repel any attack.

Portu-ball is everything that allows the above.
Therefore you need players who can pass
fast/forward accurately and have nous in their
movement. In squad terms, this is pure
"moneyball" on core skills, not demanding a
squad full of Messi or CR7.

If a player stats don't pass muster on attack, then
they are not in the team for attacking prowess.
If they are not in the team for defensive prowess
either, then show them the exit door ASAP.

    That isn't the whole quote.

What he said overall is in line with what @PowerSpurs and others have said: we need to stop conceding so many corners in the first place and stop this nonsense of every counter-attack being lethally dangerous.

    He's right.

I don't think we're that bad from corners tbh. We had a couple of huge chances from them on Sunday that went begging. And we've scored from a fair few this season too.

We don't really have too many players who are good in the air though, especially if Richarlison is off the pitch. Bentancur, Romero and Micky are decent if unspectacular. The rest are pretty awful.

Arsenal are clearly benefitting from extra coaching though. They've already equalled the PL record for goals scored from a corner (16) with three still to play.

    Woolwich Potters.
They've benefited from persistently fouling defenders and keepers, which is now fine, apparently.
We need to copy those tactics and see what happens.
