Current image processing tech could not trawl hours of footage, from different angles, to accurately derive the measures from the (in)actions of the players.
Fair enough. Don't really want him myself, to be honest. Quite dull football and he's too close to Mendes. Harsh criticism for his last season though, as the injury to his only senior striker killed that.
Considering the talk of Paratici wanting to create a link with Mendes, which was supposedly what was behind our sudden approach for Gattuso (rather than whatever bollocks about Fonseca not playing 3ATB that Romano tried to pitch) that does make Nuno the more obvious candidate, since he can basically be described as the ubermensch with Mendes' hand even further up his backside Just a thought: maybe don't make us a Mendes vehicle? It's hardly done anything positive for Valencia
Not sure that's on Mendes though, to be fair to the massive ****house. Awful, awful owners. Good mates of Gary "Saviour of Football" Neville.
About 6-7 years ago both Valencia and Porto were what Wolves basically are now, which meant they never really had a settled squad as they were expected to move on 1-2 key players a season The thing is that Porto were able to operate like that because of how the Primeira Liga is so broken that they're basically guaranteed CL football every season so they can both pay the Mendes Tax as well as cultivate their side as they want, but with Valencia they not only had two teams nailed on to finish ahead of them every season but were also on equal footing with Atleti which meant that an injury here or a drop in form there would have let a Sevilla or a Villarreal or a Bilbao get that last spot, meaning that missing out meant they were beholden to Mendes like Wolves have been, which can be worked with if they miss out on the CL one season but are back the next but consumes the club if they continue missing out on the CL
I wasn't aware just how closely Paratici is linked to Mendes until the Fonseca/Gattuso uproar broke. Now that I am aware, I have to say his appointment makes me feel deeply uneasy. Super agents are a key piece in the puzzle that is distancing clubs from fans and the grassroots game at a rate of knots. It would seem that we have attempted to solve one set of problems by creating a new set, something not atypical of Mr Levy.
Nuno is the latest stench of desperation. He was on the verge of joining palace, but what did we do at the time to stop that? Nothing. He clearly can’t ever have been a priority, which shows he’s just become an a potentially easy appointment as our options are continuing to run out by the day.
Haha, Brilliant Remember World Cup "golden Boot harry"? Six goals, three of them penalty's but they all count eh?
All three of them are levels below Dembele and I wasn’t even Dembele’s biggest fan as I wanted more goals and assists from him. Would kill to have him back now though.
He's apparently the frontrunner for the position. Which isn't difficult given that the list is zero candidates long.
I hope there's a big backlash occurring on twitter against nuno as Spurs manager. I've nothing against him but I just don't think he's what we need.
