I seen something very unusual this morning !! Pulled into the work carpark to see the biggest work shirker ever getting out of his car, the 1st time he has actually been to work since the pandemic started. No underlying health issues and neither does his missus, he simply refused to come to work because he felt "unsafe" Now the best laugh is he is the H&S officer who should have been here helping us work out how we keep our staff safe and at ease during the worst possible times, he chose the easy route and f****d off and left me and the MD to it..... I need to be careful here but it appears he has been working on getting his golf handicap down and done a fair bit of travelling about in his campervan whilst "working from home"
Dropped my son's car into Autoglass at Boro, then called into Gregg's for a coffee, and 2 armed police called in for bacon butties Not summat you see every day.
I saw a couple of crows having a ding-dong with a cat. Crows won. Cat slincked off with its tail between its legs, cursing. Though it was last week.
People like this are the reason why some workplaces that have been able.to.work from home will end up back in the office eventually. I can't work from home in my new job as I have to go out to site but I was doing an office base job from home through the pandemic (temporarily to see me through covid) and they ended up having people back in the office as there was a culture of people logging on for work and doing very little else for their shift!
Lovely place . We are due to take the caravan up to bunree later in the year. About20 mins or so to Fort William. The ferry is about 4or 5 mins walk away to the other side. Free for foot passengers and bikes. Plenty to do around the area.
Thanks I have his brother to. He’s not quite as active. Loves to laze around where as he is on Duracell.
Would you stop off on the way, or just straight there? Going up in motorhome, planning to just stop off somewhere for an hour or so.
Saw probably the most vomit inducing thing down the metro centre. In a shop window was the cast (in character) of Auf Weidersehen Pet super imposed within the backdrop of the interior of a full house St James Park. The fact that Moxey, Bomber, Wayne and Barry were not from around here doesn't seem to matter apparently. Even the most die hard Town fan with a Mastermind entering knowledge of Auf Weidersehen would not be insane enough to buy it? Would they? Tacky!
Yes we stopped at Houghton gate garden centre near Carlisle for breakfast and the a little farm/ coffee shop just after Loch Lomond. It’s a canny haul but it’s well worth it. Ben Nevis and Glen Nevis area are stunning as is the road from Fort William to Malliag. The scenery is just fabulous. If you do that road turn off the main A830 road at Arisiag onto the b8008 and follow that road. It’s breathtaking scenery. Lovely spot for lunch one day. You will be able to stop at Glenfinnan viaduct which is in Harry Potter. It’s ok but it’s a bridge and teaming with Japs and Yanks.. Tried to book the train but was booked until mid august. Midge we’re just starting to come out so take ya midge spray.
