I only saw him once, in Cannes. The performance and set list was irrelevant ... ... I just didn't want either of us to go to our grave without seeing each other.
Very similar to me Smug, I have followed his career very closely since 1966 and vowed I would never go to see him after the 1966 tour (the 'Judas' tour) when he was pilloried at every venue. I finally gave in and went to see in 2002 and have seen him once more since. My biggest regret ever is not seeing him earlier.
I’ve seen him about 5 times, all this century. The best was at Liverpool summer pops, when the only seats left were hospitality. My daughter and I had to share a dinner table with Derek Hatton and son, and sat just in front of Elvis Costello and the girl who used to sing with The Pogues. High society indeed.
Definitely do that, mate. Be well up for it! Apologies, but a few Sunderland bars or fans!? I think there are both, I went to the Cambridge vs Sunderland game this year and stood in the home end; I only managed to get into the clubhouse, which was the only way to drink in the ground, because one of the most popular locals, hes in there every day, is a diehard Sunderland fan and he signed uz in!
Nearly knocked a stoat over this morning, on coast road from seaham to ryhope, dashed out with a pheasant about 10 times it’s size in its mouth, dropped it as I saw in my rear view mirror, vicious little buggers.
Spotted some deer hanging around, for a few days, outside the front of the house. When I put the binoculars on them they're all female and there are two fawns in the grass. I'll try to get a photo when I can get close enough.
So, just read a couple paid £750 to get a director's box seat to watch Ed Sheeran and found the seat in front splattered with vomit. ....... and then Kevin Philips went to sit in there. Oh dear. Not good image.
