Imagine the sort of Midfield/attack we could have with some of the names being thrown around on here!

That could be quite prolific in the league if it happened!
 
Benzema is not a bad shout. Buy him and Lukaku. £20 million each. They could get agreements in place soon and get the deals done at end of the season, ready for a full pre season with us. Failing that we could buy 5 or 6 real quality young players in a variety of positions and go from there. Be funny if we took Welbeck off Man U ahead of the Mackems.
 
I've heard a lot about Lukaku, but just looked at some stuff on YouTube and he looked awful. He can't finish and he's nowhere near as quick as I was expecting. He looks like a fat Nile Ranger, I'd rather stick with Ranger than waste money on him.

the fact that they play one up front with a 17 year old kid says alot i think. Supposedly he is so imposing on centre halves, in 2 or 3 years he will be unplayable.If you buy him now and he thrives, then you could have a superstar for years to come. Or sell him for a profit!!! lol

That blog was where I first heard of him. And he may be imposing on centre halves, but that's in the Belgian league, Onyewu was supposed to be one of the best centre halves in Belgium and he was ****e. Also you say "if" he thrives, but in your previous post you say spend £20m; I don't want us spending £20m on if's and could's when we've just sold someone who WAS unplayable. There most be loads of young strikers with Lukaku's potential but without the hype and the overinflated price that comes with it. If we bought him we'd be spending about £5m on a talented youngster, and £15m on his reputation.

Kids have reputations for a reason, especially when every scout from every major club has come to the same conclusion, that he is immense. In the Summer he will move to a top club, but even though they can't play now, you can still reach agreements to sign with effect from 1st June. If not him then others are out there, it's just finding them.
