Hi BP, how did it feel getting royally ****ed 6-0 by a small chav club with narrow minded chav attitudes? Bet it hurt.

Anyways.. if we were to replace Arsene.

    Here's my list

    1. Klopp - Dortmund play great football and Klopp is both tactically sound and a master in the transfer market. In many ways he's the modern day Wenger.

    2. Hiddink - A proven winner.

    3. Louis Van Gaal - Unfairly ousted at Bayern the guy has league and Champion league trophies to his name. His teams always perform when the pressure is on.

    4. Rudi Garcia - Currently doing a great job at Roma.

    5. DeBoer - In two and a half-year at the helm of Ajax, Frank de Boer already won 3 championships. His team play exciting attacking football and he looks like one of the best young managers in the business.

    6. Diego Simeone. Has built a quality team at Athletico on a small budget. Looks to be another young manger on his way to big things.

Yeah...moving on from the c*ck waving contest. That's a good list you have there. Quite how many would be interested in coming to us remains to be seen. For me I would love any of the following:

1 - Klopp may like the idea of a new challenge and watching his team being systematically dismantled must rankle. I imagine most see us as a selling club but I think we're (hopefully) beyond that now we're on top of our stadium debt.

2 - Always liked Hiddink, seems an affable guy and a good manager.

3 - I can't see Simeone moving were he to win La Liga but he'd be a great shout.

4 - Adding in Martinez who I think has surprised most at Everton. Best of all with him is that he knows the EPL. My concern would be that he also seems a fan of sexy football too so is he willing to be flexible enough? I guess his FA cup success shows a willingness to adapt.

There appears to be some support for Martinez as a possible replacement. I would add a word of caution to that. Yes, he has done well at both Wigan and Everton managing upon scarce resources. He does show potential but you are asking him to make a mega-leap if you take him to Arsenal. There's a hell of a difference between what he has done and stepping into the management role at a Mega club in both domestic and European terms. However, if you changes the role and appointed him as Head Coach with somebody-else in charge of club affairs it might work. But would he accept that?

Hmmm not really Mate. I would have to recognise you as an actual football club first. It is what it is. Congrats!

That exact same argument could be applied to Brendan Rogers and he's done a great job, given a bit of time.

It isn't such a huge leap. Everton are challenging for the Top 4 this season in direct competition with Arsenal. At the moment, it's almost a sideways move in terms of position. In terms of the velocity of the club (a club of both magnitude and direction), it will be a big step for him, but if he doesn't make wholesale changes, and instead beds himself in over next season, I think he could be a huge success.

From what I've seen of him, I like him as a man. He is tactically astute, seems very smart, and would represent PROGRESS for the club.

Rodgers does not have complete control. He works with a committee when it comes to players purchase and he doesn't have any involvement in the commercial activities.

I'm only saying that it is a great leap in the size of club and expectation.

A 'mega leap' from Everton to Arsenal??? Lumping Everton in the same bracket as Wigan?

No need to be bitter with idiots like you about! The size of the Everton job is minuscule in comparison with what awaits a new appointee at Arsenal.

If the comparison was not accurate then why did Wenger not appear on any Everton wish list when Moyes left you? Whoever, takes over at Arsenal not only has to create a new side but also a whole new style of play whilst still meeting the demands of the fans. That's leaving aside trying to fill the void left by such a large personality.

So toodle back off to your own desert of a club board.

Foreskindave is a t**t but you have to concede tobes that there would be a totally different level of expectation at Arsenal.
Arsenal are where Everton want to be, regular top 4 club.
Arsenal want to take the next step and be regular title contenders/winners, and to start getting some trophies in, like City and Chelsea.
So while I think it is a step up from Everton, Everton is by no means "miniscule", they are still in with a top 4 shout.
If they made the CL then Everton would have to put their hands in their pocket and splash some cash if they dont want to be humiliated in the CL next year.

Bodswanki, why are you so stupid? It doesn't take more than a little research to know that one of the things that Everton don't have IS the ability to "splash the cash".

Did I say Everton were a bigger fish than Arsenal? No, you dolt, I was merely pointing out the idiocy of labelling the difference between the 2 clubs as 'mega' and then describing the Everton job as 'miniscule' which are the comments of a bitter old, cock head.

Why would the new Arsenal manager have to change the style of play btw? or create a new side for that matter?

Arsenal don't need smashing to pieces, they need strengthening in key areas, which is the only area where the stubborn Wenger has failed in recent times.

You're just bulling up the scale of the task as it suits your bitter kopite agenda to portray Arsenal as on the decline.....

So toddle off back to your own cesspit, I'm fine all the same....
