Might just work, Neil Adams talks a great game and Hucks loves the club, you never know <ok>

Any other suggestions of a possible 'dream' management team ?

i can only assume this is a joke...i would be ****ing mortified if this happened. did we not learn anything from the gunn debacle?

think i read somewhere about drury being offered a coaching role but its been a bit swept under the carpet giving todays evets...

Just a bit of fun gruffuts <doh>

Forgive me, but I just don't understand this clamour to bring Chris Hughton in, I really don't. His teams play ugly football, lumping the ball up to a big target man, I'm not interested myself.

I want Zola!!

He didn't at Newcastle. He played decent stuff as far as I'm aware. Newcastle fans loved him and he was unfairly sacked when he was doing a very good job.

We can't afford Zola.

I thought he lumped the ball up to Carroll to be honest, that was my understanding of his preferred style. Yes, the Toon Army were up in arms when he was sacked, the bloke who took over didn't do too badly though and I don't hear many of them longing for him back now.

I'm certainly not saying he'd be a disaster or anything like that, I just don't have as much interest in him as many of you others on here

Munky, we have to be realistic with our targets. Zola will be out of our price range and there are stories that Hughton demands a 2.5m release clause, so we probably won't pay that. There are only a few managers we can approach.

I would be very happy with Hughton, he has a good record as manager

1. Newcastle promoted under his watch
2. Newcastle 11th in PL, when sacked, and almost universal outrage at this decision
3. Guided Birmingham to playoffs (no mean feat!)
4. Signed Tiote and Ben Arfa (success at unearthing gems, look at how well these players are doing at present)
5. Spoken of highly (http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/philmcnulty/2010/12/hughton_sacking_shames_newcast.html)
6. Took Birmingham to FA Cup 5th round, where they played Chelsea, drew and lost 2-0 in replay

McNally to promote himself to manager (if thats a promotion). No managers would dare square up to him and he will scare the **** out of refs and the FA can't fail
